This is a review about the condition of the book and not the content
The book arrived with the DVD with a sticker indicating it did not have the DVD. I did not see anything on the page that indicated it would not have the DVD with it and it was disappointing. After taking the DDP training, I now understand how important it is to have the DVD to review.

Came in great shape and on time
It is a bit wordy for a workbook and not something I can just give to clients. I can pull information from it, and have found a way to incorporate it into the therapy. This is an effective therapy and a must have for clinicians working with attachment issues in family. The book that accompanies it is also important. Came in great shape and on time.

The Best Attachment Theory Plan
Purchased book because I am working with families with foster, adopted, and kinship children. My supervisior made me aware of the workbook, and I am glad he did. The whole plan, start to finish, is laid out in easy to understand guidelines and theory. Just tweak it to the individual client and you can almost see the success. Great for all looking for family therapy guidelines.Paul R. Feiger, C.Ht., MS, MFT Intern

Very helpful!
This book enabled me to assist families with children who have difficulty forming a secure bond with their care givers! The DVD that comes with the book was great as then I could see how this type of therapy is different than the normal approach.

Practical support for attachment based family counseling
This book is a must for therapists engaged in family work. For those individuals fortunate enough to have had training with Dan Hughes this brings it back to the basics. A great support in working with individuals and families.

Daniel Hughes - Family therapy workbook
I love this guy ever since I saw him lecture in a conference. Just like the person himself, the book explains warmly, simply & clearly how to use each work sheet in therapeutic work with Carer & child. A very informative book, enabling yourself as therapist the process of Attachment- focussed therapy. Love it & love this man

The theory behind this works and I've benefited but I found the book a bit inaccessible and haven't read it all but dipped in and out. With the pressure on public services and limited time available I need something that gets the messages over a bit more concisely ideally. There is a DVD but it didn't play in my laptop.
