You can't BEAT this
Sorry about the pun in the title. Actually, I'm not sorry! This thing is great, it's small, solid, pretty quiet and lets me work on my skills pretty much anywhere. The only thing I would say is that I had one of the corners a little loose, so I pulled the grey rubber bit off and re-glued it down... so I enhanced it and now it's perfect.

Good bounce and quiet, but one flaw
This is a very good drum practice pad. The bounce is excellent and it is quiter than others I have tried. One problem is that there is a hollow area about an inch across in the centre of the pad, directly above where the screw thread is fitted on the underside. This produces a louder "hollow" noise when hit. If (or rather when, as a corner is loose) the rubber detaches from the base I will fill this hole and have a perfect pad. Why oh why can't Stagg do this in the first place?!

Stagg Practice Drum Pad - TD-06.2
Fantastic piece of kit! Very well made, very sturdy and just the right size, heavy so it doesnt move and the rubber base acts as another playing surface too! Dont let the surface fool you, it looks soft but is actually quite hard (borderline wood like) doesnt quite have the bounce as a soft but still gives a little but very good to play on. But all in all a fantastic pad and for a fantastic price, i checked ebay before this and the prices were ridiculously expensive so the price is ideal. Fantastic Stagg, keep it up.

Great tool for beginners
Bought this practice pad from a suggestion from my drumming teacher. It is very useful for a beginner like me as it helps to start getting the rhythm correctly

Great first practice pad.
I've been drumming for 2 years, but have not invested in a practice pad until now. I can't comment much on the durability, but for the price I think it's an excellent practice pad- for a beginner at least. It's a sturdy piece of equipment with great bounce for the sticks. No complaints for the price!

Good but fell apart
Exactly what I wanted, but the pad came apart from the base within a week. Just glued it back on and it’s fine now!

Center of pad feels worse than the rest of it....
I bought this pad because I love my 8" Stagg pad I have from a few years back. This one looks identical but it's not. The rubber is slightly less firm on this new one, which is not the resistance I prefer. But the biggest flaw is something I've read in other complaints: When you strike dead center of the pad, it feels bad. In that center spot, the rubber pad covers a small hole drilled into the wood from under the pad. The top of a cymbal stand can be screwed into that hole. Significantly less resistance, because the rubber is over an air hole. (I bought another to see if it was an isolated defect, but a new pad gave me the same problem. Odd, because my older 8" Stagg pad also has the same hole underneath in the center, but somehow the feel & sound is unaffected.) The end effect is that you try to avoid hitting the center of the pad (which makes absolutely no sense) because the bounce is significantly less, not to mention the sound, which is also different from the rest of the pad. I do not recommend.

Logo just fell off
It's ok, the silicone is bouncing well, but a bit disappointing that logo just fell off right from the box.
