STANLEY FATMAX 10-Compartment Deep Organizer with Metal Latches, 1-97-518

I picked up this Stanley FatMax deep organiser for £17.99 to store all my wood screws, and it’s easily one of the most solid organisers I’ve owned. In fact, I ended up buying a second one purely because of how well the first held up. Build quality is excellent. The case feels thick, rigid, and properly reinforced, not like the brittle plastic you often get with cheaper organisers. The transparent lid is solid and seals well, and the deep removable cups are ideal for screws and fixings without everything spilling or mixing. What really sold me on it was durability in real use. I accidentally stepped on the latches three separate times while working in the shed. On each occasion the latches popped off rather than snapping, and they clipped straight back on without any damage. Honestly, that says a lot. Many organisers would have cracked or permanently broken under that kind of abuse, but this one shrugged it off. Functionally, it does exactly what you want. The compartments are deep enough for larger quantities of screws, the cups lift out easily, and everything stays where it should when closed. It feels designed for actual workshop use rather than light hobby storage. Overall, excellent value for money at £17.99. Very sturdy, well thought out, and clearly built to last. If you need a reliable organiser for fixings or small parts and don’t want something fragile, this is an easy recommendation.

This item arrived ahead of schedule. It is well made. Made from thick, durable plastic. The hinges are firmly attached. The locking mechanism is firmly attached and is made from low grade steel which allows you to confidently lock the box. The lid is made from tough looking plastic. The box containers inside will last forever with some tlc. The whole thing feels well made and rugged, meaning that it should last for years! It's almost as tough as the DeWalt systems which are the top market leader but at a fraction of the cost. It is stackable onto other, similar Stanley Fatmax products. The handle is a tough one. I can't really find any faults with it to be completely honest. As I said, only time will tell how good this item is but I suspect that it will be a long lasting bit of essential kit and a must have item for carrying lots of bits to and from work. I'd buy another one definitely.

I done loads of research on different cases and many reviews said screws and bits ended up moving into different compartments. I then saw this beauty! Owning the far max tool bag which will last a lifetime I purchased this case. It’s huge with deep trays that you can take out to make jobs easier and not have to take the whole case if not needed. Love everything about this case, when standing it upright the individual trays keep all screws and bits secure in their separate compartments. The only thing I will say is this case is quite heavy before you have put anything in it, but guessing it needs to be so it really can withstand the test of time. Very happy with this purchase and recommend.

So far I have got two of these. After I got the first I realised that you won't really find better portable storage unless you go for a DeWalt Toughsystem box (got one of those too and it's utterly brilliant). This box is great for a few reasons: 1) Strong but light. Much lighter than the Toughsystem box I have but I'm confident of giving it abuse and it being able to withstand it. I wouldn't run over it with the car but it's very well constructed. 2) The cups lock in place. There are little groves in the lid that lock the cups in place when closed. This is great because you can take a few cups out and leave space for larger items on a specific job and they won't go sliding around all over the place. The content also can't spill over the sides of the cups, even when shaken violently upside down. 3) Metal latches. These are a must, plastic just doesn't cut it. These are well made and operate smoothly. 4) Stackable. You can stack and lock these organisers to others of the same kind. In fact, some other items like the DeWalt Impact/Drill driver set also come in an identical case to this and you can lock it to that too. Locking together might not seem like a big deal but it is - being able to carry 3 boxes with one hand yet open things out on the job is fantastic. 5) Waterproof seal. Pretty obvious that having one is better than not and you can leave this in the rain and it'll keep your stuff dry. I did some guttering today and had this out in the rain. It protected its contents perfectly. IN CONCLUSION I can see myself getting some more of these as time goes by. They're certainly up to the task of protecting screws and plugs and other such stuff at a decent price. I love that you can take out a cup as and when you need it and stick a couple together to make things easier to carry. All round fantastic organiser that I heartily recommend.

Great quality, tough and robust. Great for storing all sorts of items. Only issue is it’s missing a long tray for larger items.

Great storage bins. The depth really helps and the lid secures nicely. So even when you’re carrying it items don’t fall out of their respective bins. The only thing that I would personally like more is the larger bins. Other than that a great piece and group in keeping this tidy and stored safely

Davvero ottima. Ho cercato a lungo una cassetta portaviti con gli scomparti estraibili, questo è proprio quello che cercavo! La comodità dell’estrazione dei Vari comparti è per ribaltare la singola scelta su di un piano, per poter prendere meglio quel che serve. Il coperchio quando è chiuso aderisce perfettamente e non fa mischiare le viti se si capovolge e si scuote la cassetta, altra cosa molto importante, sarebbe snervante dividere accuratamente le viti per poi averle mischiate... un ultima nota positiva è per la chiusura, con due clip in ferro che sembrano molto solide ed evitano aperture accidentali. Spedizione con Amazon Prime eccellente come sempre, comprata è arrivata a casa in un giorno. Consigliata anche per un uso professionale in cantiere.

Calidad espectacular! se nota que es de buena calidad solo que lo ves y al manipularla aun más, la tapa de plastico transparente tiene pinta de ser un buen plastico y no rallarse, en la tapa tiene una junta de goma que le da total estanqueidad, diria que es un accesorio genial para trabajos en obra en exterior o para nautica, queda totalmente sellado. los cierres son metalicos y cierran perfectamente y de una forma rapida sin hacer mucha fuerza. El interior son todo cubos que se pueden colocar en la posición que prefieras y puedes usar de mas pequeños o mas grandes si tienes mas de uno, los puedes intercambiar equivale 1 grande a 2 pequeños, se quedan bien colocados de forma facil y no se mueven al transportar el maletín. no se mezcla un contenedor con otro aun que se coloque bocabajo. Una compra mas que recomendable! calidad total y tiene pinta de durar años. Las medidas de los contenedores son: 15x10cm y 7,5x10cm Es el modelo que es mas fondo, 10cm. La bisagra es metálica y tiene un sistema para agrupar maletines, y que queden en bloque, tipo las cajas de lboxx de bosch o makita. Que las cajas sean extraibles lo veo un gran acierto para en el lugar de trabajo solo utilizar el contenedor que precises.
