Beautiful book full of diverse and well thought out images and text

Great book, nice to see so many different ethnicities and cultures.

Lively concept but I didn't like the illustrations which were a bit flat and difficult to interpret at times.

Beautiful illustrations and message

We ordered this for our son who will shortly be turning two. He's a little too young to discuss the amazing concepts explored in the book, but he has already shown wonder and curiosity for the illustrations.We have an enormous collection of children's literature, but this is the best non-fiction book we have purchased for our son, to date!I get a little teary eyed when looking through the pages - each page has been exquisitely presented with detailed, vivid, dreamy illustrations and very thought-provoking questions. Further explanations of illustrations are given toward the back of the book.I have to say, whilst reading, I was taken back to my childhood and felt I was exploring the world with fresh eyes. I actually think this book is for adults as much as it is for children - it gently encourages us to reflect on the the similarities we all have, especially in a time when the media want us to only focus on our differences.
