Functions, but extremely poor battery life
I got this remote control about 2 weeks ago. The unit came with a battery installed, that was completely discharged when it arrived. Luckily they shipped a spare battery.The spare battery lasted a week. I replaced it with a slightly larger (CR2032, as opposed to the shipped CR2025 battery); it went dead in 8 days.The unit functions as advertised; volume, play/stop, and next track all work. But its extremely low battery life (and the difficulty in getting the back off to change the battery) makes me not able to recommend the unit.

Shipped with wrong battery
The remote was unreliable at first, as some other reviews have noted. After opening it up, I found the problem: It shipped with two CR2025 batteries, and the battery holder was designed for the CR2032. The 32 is about a millimeter thicker and higher capacity, but identical voltage. The thinner battery was loose and kept losing contact.It has been reliable since I replaced the battery.

Better than expected
It works great. Now since I can hook up my phone to my Bluetooth car radio, I can operate it while I'm driving since I had a massive stroke I can't operate any controls on my right side.

The missing link
Motorcycle, music playing phone, ear buds... Wait! I can't pause or adjust the volume without stopping on the side of the road, taking my gloves off, getting my phone out and trying to find the right buttons in the bright sunlight! sucks. This little volume control clips right on the mirror of my scooter and is useable with gloves on (not easy, but doable). This IS the missing link in the music on your motorcycle/scooter system. Works great and would buy again.

Works fine if not getting wet
Worked fine until the first rain. Then stopped working.

Worked once
Only worked once. I tried both CR2025 and 3032 sizes as others suggested. Couldn't get it to re-pair with any device.

Easy to set up. My device didn’t turn on immediately used the back up battery provided.
