CAn I put these straight straight ont my compost heap?

Yes you can, as long as you wash off any cooked/uncooked food. If you don't you may attract rats.

Are they good before chilli? And stovies?

Stovies should be OK if not too sloppy, ditto chilli they're OK for soup, after all. Not much chance of re-use, though

What colour are they?

They are an off white colour. Like an unbleached sort of white/cream if that makes sense!

Are these paper bowls or sugarcane?

Sorry - I don't know. I buy for function rather than provenance. Can the manufacturer advise ?
