L'Oreal Paris Colorista Effect Bleach Lightening Kit, 1 Application, Lightens Hair with No Brassiness, Colour: Bleach

I have been colouring my hair since I cut it short. I made the mistake of going blonde (one whole colour) and my roots were giving me so much trouble cause my hair is dark brown and I could see the line of demarcation too strong, so I went to basics: I used dark golden brown all over, let it sit for a week, lightened with vitamin c and shampoo and the day after I used this box to do random highlights just by looking where the curls sit. I guess I used the clouding/ ombre technique and I am so pleased with the results. I lifts really well without being too dry. The conditioner in the box is fantastic. I didn't want to rinse it as it felt luxurious. My hair of course it's a bit dry as you can see from my pics but my curl pattern has not changed and now my hair needs TLC. I really recommend this. Just follow the instructions and follow up with a toner otherwise it could be a little orange. I will buy again if I need to up in the future.

I read mixed reviews for this bleach. Seeing it on special offer and noticing it was an oil bleach I decided to give it a go as it was much cheaper than wella's professional oil bleach. I have thick hair so usually need to buy more than one quantity of dye. I was actually dying just the under-layer of my hair but still bought 2. My dark hair had been previously bleached, then purple, then dyed dark brown and then a colour remover used to take it to mid brown...phew! I waited a week and washed furiously after the colour remover. I applied a small amount of coconut oil to my hair and mixed the colorista bleach. It was pretty easy to do but I wondered why they want people to put it in a bottle and shake it? I think many of the 'blotchy results' people may have is because it could have been mixed better in a bowl...as a hairdresser would do. I applied the bleach and covered my hair with stunning plastic tesco bag ( not included). I left for 35 minutes in total, checking every 10. I was impressed. Hair was now a golden blonde, probably level 8. I applied conditioner and waited a few days and applied colorista again for 35 minutes, checking every 10 for damage. There was no damage ( maybe because it's oil bleach AND I added a bit of coconut oil to my hair anyway. The end result was near my roots a very light blonde, which could be toned to platinum and my ends - a slightly darker blonde. This was all fine as I was going purple and dark blue. Maybe the people that don't get a good result have previously dyed and not removed it, or should use more bleach and are not saturating the hair enough. 1 pack of this bleach may do for finer shorter hair, or highlights.

This was the first time bleaching my hair myself and I’m really happy with the results!After spending a small fortune at the salon bleaching and toning I decided to try it for myself at home.My hair was toned to silvery/grey and the toner was fading so instead of re-toning at the salon or using a ‘home toner’ I wanted to start again and try a permanent dye with the hopes of it lasting longer.My hair was last bleached only 2 and a half weeks ago but my hair is relatively healthy and very thick so I decided to take the risk.I chose this product for bleach (compared to others) because it contains EVERYTHING you need - you don’t need to buy anything separately.So easy to use - just mix and shake. I didn’t wash my hair for 2 days prior to bleaching and my scalp didn’t feel itchy or tight at all (sometimes at the salon it does but I suppose they are allowed to use stronger products. I left this in for a total of 45 minutes and I wore a shower cap.I did have some root growth (natural black) which I forgot to bleach before the ends so my roots are a little darker/orange-er than I would’ve liked but that was down to my mistake not the product.I love that this comes with a purple conditioner too (more a hair mask than a conditioner and only light purple) it made my post-bleached ‘gummy’ hair all silky and smooth again.For my short hair I only had to use about two thirds of the bottle. The smell was fine, not overpowering at all.Would definitely buy this product again.

This is really great! I don't understand the bad reviews as this product is amazing. I believe those left with patches didn't use enough product. The product is runnny and not tick at all therefore I will recommend not to be used in a bowl but in the bottle provided as it will make the application easier. Also make sure you buy 2 for mid hair length and 3 for long hair. Use a toner after to eliminate the orange...if your hair was dark before bleaching, it won't come out ice blonde! There is no smell whatsoever and not so much damage to the hair like with other products. Personally I won't use something else.

Does the job

I used this for the first time, I was anxious and did not leave it on for the recommended time, I washed it off to early. I am buying another . My hair feels great and the colour has lifted amazing wish I had left it on long . Brilliant product waiting for order to arrive to leave on as per guide lines 👍

I'm usually fully pink but have to bleach my roots which I'm never happy about as all the bleaches I've used so far dry out your hair or even have alot of hair break off......THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM! First the smell. It's great no harsh smells and the conditioner smells nice too. It was a lil runny so splashed a bit but that's all. It instantly took most of the pink away (some bits of pink are always stubborn) the rinse felt nice and easy too. The picture doesn't do it justice I have bad shoulder and missed a lil on the side my fault!I'm into the day after and my hair hasn't felt this soft in ages. Smells great and had no breakage at all. I'll be using this from now on.P.s for my length of hair to do full coverage I still needed 2 bottles maybe a 3rd for any missed bits if your like me lol. Happy bleaching everyone be safe 🥰
