The product itself does have unpleasant aroma but I can only assume that it is because that is its true aroma and not because it is faulty. I have purchased other essences from a different provider (not Amazon) and some smell lovely and some are not 'floral'. The only fault I found with this product is the bottle itself as it tends to leak which is not great because the oil then makes anything it touches have an unpleasant aroma for a bit. I use this oil in combination with a few other oils for my face & even though it is not pleasant upon application, the aroma goes away after an hour or so. I know many have complained about the aroma but after trying this product I think it is what it is bc it's meant to be.

I saw a National Geographic science episode & it revealed mosquitoes did not like the scent of this oil. I was constaly getting bitten as I'm a mouth breather dominantly and very warm blooded. I deliver shopping so can get very hot in Summer. This oil has impressed me so much and has been very effective as a repellent. It's very high quality and the best I've ever bought. I was buying cheap oil and the wrong sort and used to get very frustrated to discover mosquito bites at night time. I tried deet but it feels very wrong and unnatural. Nice to discover something that works at last.

Have only put three stars as it absolutely STINKS! Having read some other views about the Semel, I decided to purchase anyway as wanted to make my own sunscreen. I'm not bothered by strong smells but this is beyond strong! It really is a horrible smell and takes forever to get the smell off. It had spilt a bit in my package and therefore made my other bought items smell a bit. It took me washing my hands 4 times before I could (mostly) get rid of the smell. Not sure I will make my own sunscreen as I'm not sure I ant myself stinking like that! :(

Quick delivery, came with a helpful instruction leaflet and I've blended it with coconut oil to use on my face as a moisturizer and to deal with a scar. You shouldn't use it direct on your face so mix it with a blender such as coconut oil, almond oil etc.It is a potent smell, but that is to be expected, but its not horrible.

I bought this product because my husband loves lemon grass and since he is coming back home after a long time, I thought it would be great to welcome him back with the house smiling like lemongrass. I'm not disappointed, the fragrance doesn't last for ages on the diffuser but it does work.

Hmm the smell is so overpowering and lingers around....I don't think anyone can like or would be able to tolerate it...looks like most carrot essential oils do have an overwhelming smell...I will need to mix this with another essential oil to mask it....the texture is good...apart from smell this would be a good.product

I realised I don't actually like lemongrass! Though this does actually smell what it's meant to smell like. It's a potent essential oil, I'm finding it drowns out all the other notes in a couple of blends I've made. Perhaps because it's new and my other EOs are a year old? It's good strong stuff and if you like lemongrass, you'll like this.

The best essence I have ever had. It's when I have more than 12 different essential oil. I have bought few from this company they are the best. Excellent. All products are just perfect.
