Digital TDS EC Temp Meter with Horizontal Display Professional PPM Tester for Water Filter Monitoring and Hydroponic System with PPM500 & PPM700 Mode

This unit is priced reasonably for how well it works. I have one gripe and it’s that the instructions state that a sponge should be at the bottom of the cover but I don’t see one there. If it is important than I don’t expect this to last long without it. I tested it against a professional ph tester costing thousands. I was very surprised that after calibrating it the readings I got were within 0.01 of the professional machine. Not bad at all. You must calibrate the unit using 3 jars containing 250ml of pure distilled water and pouring 3 different ph powders in each jar. What I don’t understand is how often do you recalibrate. The manual does not state anything more than to dispose of the mixed solutions after 15 days. That’s a bad thing because once the 6 provided are gone you must buy more. I am thinking you only time you recalibrate is when the batteries get changed. It is not mentioned anywhere. Other that it is pretty good at giving an instant PH reading. Now that I checked my RO next is my hot tube. I like this much better than test strips.

Not only did it come with spare batteries and a very stout box for storage, it also can with 6 Ph calibration sachets. The Ec meter can display in 4 scales including EC, 500ppm and 700ppm. This is a huge plus. The Ph pen also had a great feature…. It can do a 3 point calibration, which is usually a feature on much more expensive testers. That makes it more accurate across a wide range, unlike a single point calibration that is most accurate only at the calibration value. Also the build quality is very stout. I’ll update this review after some long term use, but I’m very happy with my initial impressions.

Although the instructions are in English, it is a very broken form of English, and difficult to understand at times to the point that can only be described as lazy translation, so other than that the product itself is great. I’m just disappointed in the lack of detail that was used when the manual was put together.

I really like this meter. I have used a ph meter for many years at my job. Wasn’t expecting to receive one this nice for home use. It even came with buffering powder and extra batteries. Great purchase!!

The instructions were very detailed and helpful.The machine itself actually did not come with a little sponge in my case that protects the end of the probe itself.So far I haven’t had any issues without this sponge and hopefully none to come.It includes extra batteries, and 6 packets of 7ph 4ph and i believe 10ph (2 each) one for balancing the probe and the other for extra use.My plants have been thriving due to my monitoring of the levels and adjusting when needed at the convenience of a few minutes
