A great tv series for the time a real shame we never got season 2 and team ups from Batman, Superman

Very 90s but its good series shame its only one

I was born the year after it ended its run on television so I didn’t grow up watching reruns. I only know about it because mark hamill posted throwback photos and clips from it as he portrayed the trickster in it

This is definitely a colector's item. We have a very classy (somewhat campy) tv show. With an atmosphere inspired by Tim Burton's 1989 'Batman' (Danny Elfman also composed this tv show's main theme). We have a variety of comic classic characters related to Barry Allen, the original Flash (which in comics had passed away in a 1985 mega-comic book event). The effects, in general, are outdated but definitely not in a bad way. It's a true walk down the memory lane. :-) The only down side is, this DVD doesn't come with any extras: solely all the episodes of this tv show.

A total throwback to my child hood it's like I ran through the speed force and I was 5 again, cheesy but still as good as I remember. I still feel this is better than the modern flash series.

The original TV Flash has a lot going for it. It's a fun ride.

Despite the lack of special features, it was fantastic just to see that classic series from the 90's. It's a shame it was cancelled as there was so much potential from the source material, that being the comics of course. Perhaps a rerelease might now be in order with special features, to tie in with the new series.

Das Case war vom Transport leicht beschädigt. Wie sah eine Superhelden-TV-Serie Anfang der '90er aus? Die im Nachgang des 1989er BATMAN entstandene FLASH-Serie gibt die Antwort auf diese Frage. Aus heutiger Sicht wirkt die Serie zwar etwas angestaubt, aber wer die CW-Serie um den Scarlet Speedstern mag, kommt am Original nicht vorbei. Highlight: die zwei Gastauftritte von Mark Hamill. Vielleicht eher für ein jung gebliebenes als für ein junges Publikum geeignet.

I used to watch this on tv back in the day, still love it now. This is a quality series with many familiar faces in supporting roles and a kick-ass soundtrack by Danny Elfman. It feels (to me at least) like watching a TV version of the Burton Batmans but instead of Batman it's about the Flash. Nostalgia and atmosphere, if you love your superheroes and prefer real special effects, this is for you.

Total disappointment for my son when he opened it on Christmas morning only to find it doesn't play in North America. I did not see anything about it being Region 2, so that it won't play in North America. Looking again today I still don't see anything. I felt totally ripped off.
