I bought these to replace a set of rope lights that we've had for a few years. I was expecting a large package, but they came in a very small box and wondered if I'd ordered the wrong item. In actual fact they were just thinner than our originals and more flexible. The lights are brighter and the colours more vibrant. The plug which also contains the transformer and wireless transmitter/receiver for the control is rather long and will not fit into a standard outdoor weatherproof wall socket. I bought a 4 gang outdoor waterproof box to hold it, and this solution works well, particularly if you have more than one set of lights. I love the small remote which allows you to change the light sequence from indoors. All in all a good set of lights.

I was surprise by the feeling when I touched this light cable, it’s very pleasant,looks very aesthetic and they are lightweight.Assembly instructions are easy to follow.The control allows you to set the mode, the brightness and the timer , so the lights will be just as you want them. I was very subleased by the fact that remote control signal goes over obstacles with no bother. That means you can hide the cable behind anything and you will be able to control it anyway!It has different modes. Can be used as a part of decoration in a room or as a festival decoration. I am very happy about this purchase and can't wait to decorate my room for Christmas.They are good value for money.Highly recommending.

I bought two of this led rope light. Both were working fine, but only one of the remote controls was working. I replaced the battery, with no luck.I returned the one which doesn’t work, and ordered a new one. It was delivered today. Again, the light is working, but not the remot control!!! I replaced the battery again, still not working.I am not keen of having a remote control to switch the light on/off, as my whole pond light system is on a timer.. but I need to select the mood, and dim the light to match the others. Not happy

Very good effect from these lights, especially when used around window frames. The remote works well and my 2 year old daughter absolutely loves them!They seem quality enough but I thought the LEDs would be mounted more in like a polyethylene tube buts it's almost like a thin wrap. As long as you're it abusing them they should do just fine!

I've had rope lights before and thought these might be similar. They're quite skinny and flimsy and the plug is too long to fit in my outdoor plug socket so I can't actually use them outdoors. Not sure why a normal plug couldn't have been used. I realise looking at it now that the picture shows this unusually long plug, I just didn't see it. Now going to have to shop again to buy ones I can actually use outside. I appreciate this is a bit of a 'western world problem' but nevertheless a bit frustrating.

I don't often write reviews but these were really bad. No way would they be £40 full price. The picture is misleading as they are a lot thinner. Also couldn't get the remote to work. Bad instructions and you have to pair it somehow with the plug. Present for my niece which I am returning. Not great at all

These lights are superb, Quite long and very bright. For me the best part is the remote control, which allows us to adjust the lights from inside the house.

Great lights for my daughter's disco. Very bright. Remote worked well. Used outside and worked well.
