Halti Training Lead for Dogs | Size Large, Red, 2m

Great quality, reliable, practical and really useful with the varying lengths etc. All four of my dogs have Haiti leads. The double end is particularly good for unpredictable rescue dogs that could escape collars or harness. I have mine clipped onto both.

This is a game changer if your puppy pulls. I've tried several lead types prior to getting this one and none of them gave me the control I was looking for. It pairs nicely with the Halti no pull harness as that has attachment rings on the back and chest area of the harness. You very quickly learn to use slight movements of your hand to control the dog by either pulling slightly on the front or back locations. It can also be used as a single lead attached to the back harness ring and this allows more freedom for your dog, without being too long. In total I would guess about 8 feet including the back part of the harness, so ample for exploring through the undergrowth without being able to run off. The lead is very comfortable to hold and seems to be quite strong. I bought the medium lead as it is slightly wider, in fact it's the ideal size for my hand, and it is capable of handling more pulling weight. The only criticism I have is that the clasps are not lockable and I have had the smaller one, which I had attached to the last ring to create a handle at the time, open up once but luckily I had a good hold of the lead around my hand. Very pleased so far.

Repurchase after the original version broke after 3 years of heavy daily use. Absolutely perfect for my 30kg bundle of energy golden retriever, stood up to the tests of mud and rain perfectly, enough for me to know I had to get the same again once the original finally gave up. The multiple hook points for different lengths are brilliant, and allowed me to safely run with the lead around my waist. Comfortable to hold, and paired with a harness offered control.

This is a fantastic training lead for any new puppy owner, it very versatile allowing you to use it as a single clipped lead or a double one attached to a upper harness D-ring and one one the Chest area, this help much less pulling and better handling, only used it for apx 1 week so I can't say anything about it Durability? I've given it 4 stars however I was thinking about 2 Stars because a: when you clip the top clasp to the upper D-ring on the lead it makes a very small loop which makes a very small handle and the metal clip keeps on interfacing with your hand, also both Clips seem very small in comparison to a relative cheaper lead, ATM there's no problems but i question there durability as my pup is a good old strong puller, Obviously I have no idea is the large lead has move substantial Clips or a bigger handle loop but overall I would highly recommend this lead to any puppy owner especially at this discounted price but even at it full RRP price it a must ha e item buy with confidence

Before getting this lead and a harness with 2 attachment points (I would recommend this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09TKXJ8FF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) my 8 YO male staffie would constantly pull on walks. Now, and I do stress with LOTS of training, he walks calmly by my side. I do not put this down to only the lead, but it has enabled me to confidently train my dog and cope with the initial pulling easily. The great thing about this is the double ended feature, I attach one end to a chest buckle and one end to a rear buckle and hold a short lead. As this is a thick lead, it enables you to get a firm grip when starting the training with pulling. This is important is this lead enables you to cope with the pulling, no matter your strength. As on end is attached to the chest, when your dog begins to pull, you can steer him back towards you by pulling the front end gently towards you. This style of lead attachment, along with a lot of treats, randomly walking in different direction and a ton of patience can be the difference in training. I am NOT a dog trainer, and I am NOT saying that this is the only or best way to train your dog, however this worked for me. Now, i only attach the lead to the rear of the harness and use the second lead attachment to buckle it to itself on one of the buckles on the lead, this forms a handle to my to hold while my dog walks with me. There are several point at which you can clip the lead to itself to give you more control over where you want your dog on a walk. They can also be changed in seconds, so if your dog is reactive, you can easily put them on the shortest lead and change back if required. Again, I am NOT saying that this lead is the ONLY reason my Staffiie has stopped pulling within 10 days at 8 years old, but it has enabled me to train him correctly, and it has been essential in every training session or walk. I would highly recommend this lead for anyone with any dog.

Easily my favourite lead for my dogs. The different lengths you can have it at are very handy. For the price as well it’s worth having a few lying around the house or in the car. The colour of the cobalt blue is very pretty but not too bright. It’s a sturdy, well made lead and I feel confident when my spaniel pulls me around to his next sniff spot that it won’t break. Washes easily and dries nicely if left outside or hanging over night.

Now on our third Halti lead! A good lead but part of the clip broke off on the first two rendering them useless! The one on the right of the photo is the new one. The other two broke off the part you need to release the clip at the same place. Be aware!!

Love this lead - one star lost as material is very soft and pup can bite it but so far I have managed to keep it away from his mouth! Great to have extra lengths and it’s lightweight too. V happy
