Perfect for my Oculus Rift, thanks Inateck
I'm very happy with this pcie card for plugging my Rift and sensors into. So happy that I even bought a second one. I've already got numerous usb devices plugged in to my pc on a more or less permanent basis: steering wheel, button box, joystick, gamepad, keyboard, mouse, & sometimes an external drive, so I wanted to be sure I had USB ports available that could cope with the Rift's devices. So I bought the first of these cards a while back specially for the day I would eventually get vr, and I am not disappointed. The Rift and its two sensors worked perfectly when plugged into the first of these cards. But my room space is long and narrow, so in order to use both the sitting area in front of my pc (for racing/flight sims) as well as the space next to it (for standing/360 experiences), I bought a third sensor. Although the Inateck has 5 slots, it was asking a bit much to expect the headset and all sensors to work in the same card (actually it did work, but I got occasional amber warnings, so it wasn't 100% consistent), so I bought a second identical card, as recommended by Inateck.Today I fitted the second card, switched the pc on, and as soon as I plugged the third sensor into it & ran the Oculus setup, it registered all devices without any trouble. (I might even try a 4th sensor in the second card at some point in the future). There are cheaper cards out there, but I've bought cheap ones before that have failed to do the job & wasted my money. This card is good quality and good value. Comes with necessary cables, use whichever is needed to plug it into your psu in order to get full power to the card. Driver disk included, but was not needed for Win 10.(Windows 10 64bit, Asus Z80K motherboard, i7 4770K, R9 Nano, 24GB Ram).

Great Card, works for Oculus Rift
I bought this card because it was recommended for using with my Oculus Rift.I've tried using USB 3 hubs but they simply can't handle the bandwidth of 3 cameras plus the headset. There were no instructions to speak of, and you have to screw the mounting plate to the card. I got the wrong screws for this the first time, but it was OK in the end.It plugged straight into a spare PCie socket with no problem. You need to know that you MUST plug in the SATA power supply to it as well.Unfortunately the SATA power lead that comes with it is very short and I had to buy an extension to get power to it.When powered, it was automatically detected by Windows 10 and it works perfectly for my Rift setup, all ports running at USB 3.I did not use the driver disk that came with it., I suspect the drivers are out of date and I definitely didn't need them, so don't use it :-)Very pleased with it - but as I say, it definitely needs to be powered!

it works good
I had a problem with my existing USB ports on the motherboard and couldn't find a way to get them working. Found this solution and I am quite happy with it. Just one problem is the power cables are very low in quality. Apart from that, it works like a charm.

Excellent kit
Worked out of the box - didn't interfere with the operation of any other installed software, something that Windows 8/8.1 has had problems with regarding USB 3.Build quality is as it should be - connectors are solid and secure.Driver Installation: if you are running Windows 8.1, Windows installs the drivers and you are good to go - ordinarily I would also say you should be fine with Windows 8.0, but this might not be the case as Windows 8.0 was squirrelly with drivers in the early days.I did some simple file speed transfer tests - here are the results (All using Seagate 500GB USB 2 (Bus powered) External Drive, copying single file of 1.7GB)Straight to the USB 3 socket - 40 secondsVia the 19-pin Connector - 42 secondsFor the record my older no-name USB 3 card (59 seconds) was hardly quicker than the motherboard's USB 2 at 61 seconds.I also observed the transfer speed is flat, hardly any speed fluctuation, highly recommended.(I'll update this when I get a USB 3 Drive)Well the USB 3 Drive arrived - Western Digital 1TB My Passport Ultra:Transfer times for both USB 3 & via 19-pin Connector are now a very satisfying 16 seconds.

Brilliant
Brilliant, I'd bought a cheap card from P.C World which came with no cables, no driver disk or instructions. These things tend to be plug and play and I know you have to download up to date drivers anyway but even after doing that I could never get the cheap card to work. After a few frustrating hours I gave up and ordered this card. Wow, what a difference, a driver CD, clear instructions, all the various power cables you might need. Put it into the P.C and installed from the CD (in that order) and it worked instantly with my Oculus Rift. Highly recommend spending a few extra pounds for a quality product.

Suitable for Oculus Rift to a point but pricey compared to other devices.
This does do as it states, offer 5 USB slots but there is a caveat. This USB PCI card only has 1 controller on board which basically means that while it does offer USB3 speeds when connecting a device any subsequent devices connected share the same bandwidth thereby slowing the speed. This I have found will only take 2 Rift sensors connected and maintain a stable connection (although there is the odd time it will drop out).I'm sure this would be fine for items less demanding of bandwidth and power.

It worked in the end but what a pain. Shame it's a great Product!
Great price fast service but had to return first one as a bit had broken off and was in the bag! Second one arrived fine, is in and working very well. But Windows 10 Pro 64 bit customers take note Amazon sell it as compatible win everything up to and including Windows 10!What they don't tell you is that the drivers on the disk are not, and Amazon will only offer you a replacement or refund!!Contacted Inateck as their Web site like their Disk does not have a working Driver; and three days later I had an email from them with a link to download the correct drivers:)Why don't they include this as a small note with the product and also why does Amazon not have this link on there sales web advert and give their Customers support and cut down on returns??

Eccellente Scheda PCI
