Yijan® HK85S Cord/Cordless Waterproof Rechargeable Hair Trimmer Clipper For kids

Right, I bought this in the hope that it would be a quieter clipper to use on my autistic son, that it was BUT not silent by all means, it also only cut one side of the head and then was too clogged up to cut much further and like it says clean in water and yes is waterproof BUT then once the clippers r wet the hair is then wet and then the clippers won't work whilst the hair is now wet so don't really understand why they woukd make them waterproof if it doesn't work when wet!?

Disclosure: I received a complimentary product in exchange for a fair, honest and unbiased reviewAlthough this is promoted as a hair trimmer for children, there’s no reason it can’t be used for adults and I have just used it to cut my husband’s hair.It’s a small, compact hair trimmer with a plastic body and single cutting speed although the speed adjusts automatically to suit the type of hair being cut with harder (adult’s) thick hair being cut faster than the soft, fine, thinner hair of a child which is cut much more slowly and gently. Clip-on comb attachments are provided in 1mm, 3mm, 6mm, 9mm and 12mm lengths plus tapering combs for use around the ears and it’s IPX7-rated meaning it can be used to cut damp hair and rinsed under a tap. Charging is via the mains, takes an hour and provides about an hour’s use which is probably adequate for 4 haircuts for a child or 5-6 for my (thinning on top) husband(!). It can also be used while plugged into the mains for charging so multiple haircuts can be completely simultaneously – ideal for a larger family and being so lightweight at just 128 grams, it puts no strain on the person doing the cutting which is almost effortless.I found it very easy to use. The comb attachments clip on securely, glide through the hair and the clipper blade trims it precisely. It’s very smooth and noticeably silent which means it will be less scary for timid babies, children or even... pets. A blue nylon shoulder-cape is included to help protect clothing along with an instruction booklet which is fairly helpful if you can look beyond the Chinglish including its ‘warmly remindings’ and promise of ‘no cratches’.The clipper works well, I like the design, the smooth feel of the clipper and its highly-comfortable feel in the hand plus the fact it’s rechargeable. It performs very much better than I was expecting and I feel it’s a very good product for babies, children, adults and pets alike. A good buy.

This arrived in a really lovely box and inside was this cute kids hair clipper, a user manual, with two extra guide combs, cleaning brush, adapter, a small cleaning brush and a blue waterproof gown to put around your neck/shoulders.This is advertised as a childs hair clipper and has an animated child theme picture on the trimmer but it is perfectly suitable for adults or even animals as well. I was lucky to be able to try it out on the back of my husbands hair (surprising he trusted me with it on his hair :-)) it worked perfectly fine but it is different to other similar products because it is not as loud but it is not ultra silent as descibed and the on/off switch lights up.The instruction manual(with diagrams) is very thorough and although it is easy to operate without reading the instructions it is nice to have it.I have added photographs for your convenience.• Note: The supplier kindly sent me a review sample for evaluation, the opinions expressed here are entirely my own •
