Fabulous toy introducing programming for kids
It's a way to go Kano. Not only the awesome piece of equipment but the information pack and software deserves 5 stars too. Both of my daughters, age 7 and 11 love it. Thank you.

Awesome bit of tech for youngsters
Very nicely packaged bit of kit for the budding techy! Bought for 8yr old and he thinks it's awesome. Great that it can be used standalone with programming software from Kano website (ie: you don't need any other Kano hardware) Lots of fun stuff to do with it, well recommend for techy (or non techy) kids.

Not a lot to it, but had a fun time working through the programming with my kid
It's tiny and has very little packaging(yay). My 5 year old is able to follow the instructions with very little prompting.

Nice idea but...
No way to save the stuff you developed, the App crashes every time you try saving... so you’ll need to start developing from scratch every time... it happens on both Mac & PCThe device is not always recognized by your computer so you’ll need to reconfigure it sometimes. The customer service is arrogant and not helpful. The work developed by the community is limited to the exercises provided by default, there is no effort to support community members or assist to build creative and innovative ideas. The concept is good but its execution/ support is not mature yet

Good add-on for coding projects.
Had some difficulties to make this one work. Eventually I managed to do it. Haptics is a really innovative technology and there will be many advances in the future. It was great to start experimenting with this sensor.

Great Gift for Smart and Easily Distracted Kids
I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. I was looking through the coding things and stumbled upon this. I was hesitant at first as he is very smart, but gets easily distracted or bored as he completes things quickly. After reading the reviews I decided to get it for him. The second he opened it and I told him what it did he got VERY excited and abandoned all his other gifts and went straight to his computer to play. He spent the rest of the night having so much fun coding his own games. He though it was the coolest thing ever. He even kept calling me over to see what he built. I never felt so accomplished as an Aunt! My sister texted me today to tell me I won Christmas as he is STILL playing it! The only thing I’m worried about is there not being enough things for him to do— making it so he finishes it all in two or three days and then abandons it. But for the price, learning ability, and happiness on his face I’ll take it! I’m happy that he is having fun with it while learning to code. I would most certainly recommend this to anybody that knows a kid like him. (And at 8 years old he was able to do it mostly all on his own, the only thing that I had to do is help him fix some things when he got too excited and skipped reading a part of the instructions.) -Skylar Monella

My 5 year old loves Kano
My 5 year old loves Kano - he was able to start dragging and dropping code blocks in the Kano App to program the motion sensor immediately. The intuitive User Interface just makes sense to him! Whilst a deeper understanding of coding will come over time, this has definitely accelerated his learning. Thanks Kano!

I purchased a class set of these. It’s super cute when it works- but it’s very buggy/sensitive and often frustrates kids.

Love to use the product
I’d love to review this product. I got this to go with my Kano Complete Computer kit. But the battery in the computer stopped working, after two weeks of use. Kano has no call in support, only email tech support, that seems to be coming from India or Africa. The delay between sending and receiving emails is about a week. The person responding doesn’t seem to read my email about the BATTERY being broken or dosent understand my email as they just send generic form emails back about fixing problems not related to my broken battery-which btw should be covered under their one year warranty. I hope your product works well and that you never need tech support.
