SainSmart8-Channel Relay Module

First things first: The module showed up on time packed well and no issues. Unfortunately I then had to surf the net for a few hours to put together a list of the board mounted components so as to assemble a knowledge base so I could use said board. Don't get me wrong! It wasn't rocket science or anything...just inconvenient as I assumed incorrectly that a schematic of some sort would have been included.So the board works. It is controlling some valves and works just fine. Paperwork would have been nice.

I bought this relay module to hook up to my raspberry pi to allow me to control small appliances such as my desk lamp and it works like a charm i used a piece of rubber at the bottom so that i didn't short any of the connections only real downfall is that the raspberry pi won't power all the switches but that isnt a problem with this product.

I attached this to my Raspberry Pi - Piface board and with 3 wires and a bit of python code got it switching a relay controlling a mains lamp on and off on command. A bit of HTML and its now working over my LAN from my Samsung S4. So really pleased with it so far. My ultimate aim is to get the PI controlling various mains appliances in response to the power being generated by my solar panels automatically.

Great piece of kit.Be aware that the default is "active low", so if you're controlling it from, say, a Raspberry Pi, setting a GPIO low will energize the relay, setting the pin high will due energize it.Had me slightly baffled for a while!

I have hooked this up to a Raspberry Pi and it works perfectly!This is a really inexpensive way to add relay control to the Pi, and not too big.Definitely going to be investigating the other products in this range...

Was going to build my own, this is the better option, save time and money.Great product and good quality.

It is very difficult to write a review for this product. It worked as advertised. If I didn't I would have complained.
