OSRAM XENARC NIGHT BREAKER UNLIMITED D1S HID Xenon discharge bulb, discharge lamp, 66140XNB, folding carton box (1 unit)

I bought these for my 2009 E60 LCI BMW 520d M Sport (it has the Visibility Pack so had xenons from the factory). One of my headlamps had suddenly turned purplely pink (or a deep lilac/mauve colour) and had gone very dim. After some research online on various BMW forums, this seems to indicate it was a bulb failure and nothing more sinister. Essentially a Xenon bulb uses chemical crystals instead of a heated filament to generate the bright white light that people see from Xenon headlamps and these crystals eventually deteriorate or burnout and are no longer capable of sustaining the light output at the intensity expected from a Xenon headlamp.These are excellent bulbs which are a direct replacement for the original BMW factory fit bulbs in a Xenon headlamp unit. BMW had quoted me £150 a bulb and had suggested that the bumper would need to come off to diagnose the problem and if necessary fit them, so the job from BMW would have cost me in excess of £400! I purchased two of these bulbs for a total of £106 and fitted them myself just by loosening the trim at the top of the bumper and removing the headlamp unit (by unscrewing two screws and two bolts on each headlamp unit and a little bit of wiggling to get the unit out). The lights don't seem that much brighter than the standard non "Xenon Night Breaker" (i.e. without the XNB designation however they work just as well and I am very happy with the result of my replacement. they didn't seem to be an option to order a twin pack which was disappointing so I had to order 2 individual bulbs and the serial number numbers were not sequential - however I can see no difference in the colour temperature between the two bulbs. I would definitely recommend these bulbs as they are literally a like for like replacement by the same manufacturer as BMW appear to use and the QR code on the box to verify it is OEM contents from Osram checked out for both bulbs.

Very fast delivery. For use in my Bmw 330d 2007, they were a lot brighter and whiter than originals. Good price. I also checked on the Osram website to check they were genuine, which they were.

Made a noticeable difference to driving at night,easy to fit and with the Osram bulb checker you can make sure you get genuine bulbs.The only downside is the price, hence only 4 stars.

Perfect replacement for Volvo V50 Zeon headlights, much cheaper than the shops and very easy to fit in the V50. Just remember to replace both bulbs at the same time otherwise you can end up with different coloured headlights as the bulbs burn in.

The 66140 is the latest version upgrade in the Osram D1S range (current - early 2015). We used it as a direct replacement for the D1S 66145 on an E65 BMW 7 Series. A vast improvement on that bulb. This bulb gives a blue/white beam. There is another 66140 available which apparently gives a very blue light, but according to Osram UK is not as bright. If you're looking for a bright bulb, this is the one. Don't mis-match. Buy in pairs for homogenous coverage and colour.

Bombillas originales de OSRAM. Xenon con conexión D1S compatibles con faros bixenon direccionables. El precio es muy bueno en comparación con las salvajadas que te piden en una tienda de repuestos o en un taller. El el Servicio oficial de mi marca me pedían casi 200€ por cambiar una sola bombilla. Por la mitad he cambiado las dos. Sustituir la bombilla, en mi caso es muy sencillo, Se desconecta y se extrae con 1/4 de vuelta. Se abre la bayoneta de la bombilla vieja para colocarla en la nueva teniendo la precaución de no tocarla con los dedos. Se coloca con el mismo 1/4 de vuelta a la inversa, se conecta y se pone el tapón trasero del faro. Tiempo total 5 minutos por lámpara. Estaré pendiente de la duración de las bombillas, de momento la luz (puede que por el desgaste de las anteriores) es bastante mejor que las que traía de origen, de otra marca puntera.

La puissance est très bonne, sans être phénoménale. Elle ne semble pas éblouir les automobilistes.La couleur est blanc légèrement jaune, ce que personnellement je préfère.Contrairement à ce que l'on pense, changer soi-même une ampoule xénon est assez facile (et gratuit).Juste faire attention a ne pas toucher la languette de réglage en hauteur du phare pendant l'opération, ou alors faire au préalable des marques de réglage sur un mur.

Nachdem bei uns der linke Xenon Brenner von der Lichtfarbe immer mehr ins Lila ging, habe ich mich auf die Suche nach neuen Xenon-Brennern gemacht. Wir fahren einen 3er BMW Touring aus 2007, mit adaptivem Kurvenlicht. Von Werk aus sind ebenfalls OEM Osram Brenner verbaut gewesen.Die Suche gestaltete sich leider nicht wirklich einfach. Im Internet gibt es nur wenige (meist älter als drei Jahre) fundierte Testberichte aus der Automobilpresse und es hat sich Produktmäßig viel getan. Auch die Preisspanne von 29,90 Euro auf der großen Auktionsplattform, für zwei D1S Brenner bis hin zu 373,10 Euro für zwei original BMW D1S Brenner, ist meiner Meinung nach wirklich heftig.Dann stellt sich die eigentlich wichtigste Frage überhaupt: "Coole Optik oder gute Ausleuchtung?!?"Selbst BMW ist mittlerweile auf den Zug aufgesprungen und verkauft zwei Arten von Leuchtmitteln. Die eine Linie nennt sich Blue-Lamps und die andere Power-Lamps... Auch Osram bietet hier die Cool Blue Intense als Alternative an.Also ich fahre im Jahr zirka 30.000 km zusammen und das meist am frühen Morgen und am späten Abend. Vor allem in der dunklen Jahreszeit liegt mein Fokus auf der bestmöglichen Ausleuchtung der Straße und der Seitenbereiche. Auch die Tatsache, dass wir in einer ländlichen Region mit viel Wald, Wiese und Wild leben, ist nicht zu verachten.Doch nun zu dem OSRAM NightBreaker Unlimited D1S Brenner. Den Einbau lassen wir mal beiseite, entweder Ihr wisst es und traut euch selber ran oder Ihr müsst zur nächsten Werkstatt. Nach dem Einbau und dem ersten Funktionstest vergehen ungefähr fünf Betriebsstunden bis die endgültige Farbtemperatur erreicht ist. Diese liegt bei diesem Brenner bei 4350 Kelvin, dass entspricht einem Weiß mit einem ganz leichten gelbstich. Ich habe jetzt ungefähr 150 bis 200 Betriebsstunden hinter mir. Nun ich würde mich nicht so weit aus dem Fenster lehnen und behaupten, dass die versprochenen 70% mehr Licht erreicht werden, aber definitiv ist die Ausleuchtung extrem gut und für mein Empfinden sehr angenehm für die Augen. Besonders bei Regen und Dunkelheit erkennt man den Unterschied zwischen blauem und weißem Licht sehr gut. Die Anstrengung ist weitaus geringer bei weißem Licht. Der Preis von zirka 150 Euro für zwei Brenner ist angemessen, wenn man bedenkt, dass BMW mehr als das doppelte für seine Brenner verlangt ohne den Einbau. Von der Billigvariante für 30 Euro für zwei Brenner, halte ich... Na ja sagen wir es mal so: Abstand halte ich davon! Hier habe ich schon von Nutzern in Foren gelesen, dass diese das Steuergerät für die Xenon Brenner zerstört haben und dann wird es nochmal richtig teuer... 323,31 Euro verlangt BMW für das Steuergerät auch hier ohne Einbau.Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn, wer Wert auf gute Ausleuchtung und damit verbundene Sicherheit legt, sollte zu diesen Brennern greifen. Wer auf Coole Optik steht... der hat wahrscheinlich schon aufgehört zu lesen und wird sich in Richtung Cool Blue Intense wenden...+ Sehr gute Ausleuchtung+ Weitaus bessere Leuchtkraft bei Regen in der Dunkelheit als blaues Licht+ Hellerer Seitenbereich des Leuchtkegels+ Angenehme Farbtemperatur, wenig Ermüdend+ Akzeptabler Preis

Commande reçue rapidement.Avec les numéros inscris sur les ampoules j'ai pu vérifier sur le site Osram qu'il s'agit d'ampoule originale.La luminosité est aussi bonne que l'originale.A voir sur la durée.

Es exacta a la de mi BMW E90 (pre). Mismo color que la que instalan en la casa...pero muchísimo más barata. Mucha luminosidad, ni amarillo ni azul...es blanca...sobre unos 4200 - 5000. Recomendable 100%
