Wonderful!
I'm a huge fan of pens in general, and I tried so many writing instruments, including my amazing Mont Blanc Starwalker, but I have to say that this Parker 5th Edition really surprised me. It looks like a normal pen, but this new way of writing is so confortable, like a more accurate fountain pen. The writing style is clean and efficient, and I'm very satisfied, even because I write so much and I prefere confortable pens. If you're planning to buy a good pen, you should try this one!

All the pen you need
Five out of five . The good looks and feeling of a fountain pen , but the practicality of a fibre tip . Tested one model that was around £150 , but settled on this one as the refill is the same,so to all intents and purposes achieved the same feel for £100 pound saving . The refills are £5.50 each ,so will update when the first one is finished .

At last - A decent pen for left handers!
This pen (and others that use Parker's so called 5th technology) is highly recommended for all those left handers, like me, that longed to use a fountain pen but could not due to smudging. The ink from this pen dries immediately so it does not smudge as your hand passes over it. It is almost, but not quite, as smooth as a fountain pen but better than rollerball (particularly Parker rollerballs that I finf very scratchy) and ballpoint. The pen takes nib included refills and is very easy and clean to change. You cannot use bottled ink or ink cartridges with this pen.The only real reasons it did not get 5 stars are:> the initial cost of the pen (compared to the fountain pen in the same range).> Refills too are very expensive. But for Left handers, at least, well worth the extra cost.

You are really using fountain pen in a new way! Like one of the coloured stabilise pens.
So nice to use; nice aesthetics and wouldn’t smudge!

Looks like a fountain pen nib but is a fine felt tip.
It writes easily and with a consistent fine line. The cap posts securely when you take it off and attach it to the rear end. A nice weight and balanced feel when writing, but a bit slippery where the finger tips hold it. Unfortunately the inkfilled replacement cartridges specifically used in this pen are really and possibly prohibitively ridiculously expensive.

Value for money
Lovely pen to write with , seen a lot of comments saying it comes with dummy ink cartridge , but there is a cartridge in the lining of the packaging which I think people aren’t aware of .

Lovely pen but it arrived without a usable inner. ...
Lovely pen but it arrived without a usable inner. Luckily I had ordered a pack of two refills which arrived the day after the body, but there was no indication that there was a need to order refills.

Pleasant, unusual, modern writing instrument.
Very pleasant to write with. Smooth and fluent. the 5th generation refills, however, seem to stop working after a while, for no apparent reason, then to restart. There is no way of knowing whether the refil is empty, or just doing this strange stopping. When working, it's a pleasure to write with.
