Only worth it if you're a pro or semi pro
I'll spare you the spec and indepth review as there are plenty valuable sources to extract such info. I started with an X100 years ago and loved it. Inspired by the quality and thoughtfulness gone into its functions I bought an XPro1 and XT1. I never really enjoyed using the pro1 although the IQ was impressive. I bought over time lenses such as the 35mm both f2 and 1.4, great for portraiture and low light, 18-135mm and shot theatre, with a bit of tweaking in LR produced images that satisfied my clients, 16-55, great for jaunts on beaches and a bit of portraiture, 23mm,50, just looked awesome... all on the XT1. So now having the XT2 I have a bit more tweaking space and easier to access controls...my photographic life is so much easier. Couple of lenses in the bag and I'm ready to go. This camera is great for someone that loves manual and automatic settings. Two sd cards oh that is so useful. Speed of continuous modes beautful. It's not often I could say on my nikon and canon ff gear that a large percentage of the images were keeps compared to this XT2. On this body out of 350 or so images only about 10 have been wasters. It might seem that there is a steep learning curve but honestly speaking any camera you get you'll find that in order to get the most out of your use you need to learn the functions. The tilting screen hasn't been much employed by me on my landscape jaunts and kind of wish it had the same manoeuvrability as the Olympus EM5 mark2. Stick that on an xt2 and I'd have the perfect camera. Wishes for extra? I wish the lovely people from Fuji would have included the built ND filter that was included in the old X100. Another wish? I wish the hoods were better on their lenses. This camera came with a small flash and a cleverly constructed flash as its profile helps when taking shots with flash. Everyone talks about how fantastic the acros filter is... to be perfectly honest yes it produces some great film like looking images and please note I'm old skool. If you can't stretch to this model the XT1 is decent, produces decent monochrome images too. JJC used to produce some excellent lens hoods for the X100. I hope they use that know-how to do the same for the rest of the Fuji lens range. If you want to do macro work none of the lenses combined with this body are adequate. For landscapes and portraiture it's a decent camera considering it's not a full frame. It's light to carry around and easier for packing on longer journeys. The only alternative of this calibre camera I would ever consider as an alternative is the Olympus I mentioned earlier but you'll need to do A LOT of tweaking in LR and PS to get to anything near a realistic colour output. Fuji colour reproduction is simply stunning. If you're toying with a ff body then yes canon or nikon with some good lenses. That comes at a price. I have them as I use them for different projects. Lisakalloo photography is online if you'd like to see the images you can achieve with the XT1 and 2.

Crop Sensor Camera
An excellent camera that has been superseded by the XT-3, which if you shoot video is the camera to go for, but if you're a stills photographer then this is a perfect camera. Great sensor, crisp images and paired with almost any Fuji X series lens, is an awesome combination. Great value now too

Amazing
Amazing product, like all the other Fuji mirrorless cameras and lenses. It looked completely new, even the box, but I paid it much less then the new product. Arrived in time.

Superb professional camera.
I love this camera, as I did the X-T1 before it. I'm a full time professional photographer and I've used Nikon kit for years but these day, I'm much more likely to use the X-T2 on a shoot. I carry it everywhere.

Having difficulty making friends with my X-T2
I'm a professional portrait photographer and for my day to day work I use a Canon 5DMK4. Its a great camera, but too big and bulky for me to carry around on holiday. A few years ago I bought an XT-1 for me to take on holiday and photograph landscapes, and in particular cloudscapes. I loved it. The only thing I didn't like was the X-T1's autofocus and its inability to focus on low contrast subjects like clouds. Since then I've upgraded to the X-T2 - which I use the 16-55 2.8 lens. There is a marked improvement on its autofocus, but I think it still could be better. Other improvements have been done which are good, but it has resulted in a bigger and heavier camera. But at the end of the day, its all down to the image quality. Yes, it produces very good quality images, but outstanding quality images? I think not. The characteristics of the images are different to the X-T1 too. When you enlarge them they have what I can only describe as a 'video' look to them, which I don't like and didn't occur on the XT-1. You and your camera should be best buddies, but I feel that we are only acquaintances. A lot of pro photographers are dumping their DSLR's for mirrorless cameras. I for one won't be doing that... yet. In my view, the X-T2 is good, but not good enough for me to dump my 5D. Big improvements would have to be done to the autofocus before I would consider it. Plus this image quality issue I have with the X-T2 would have to be sorted too. Perhaps I'm being unfair comparing the 5DMK4 to the X-T2, but If was to switch to mirrorless, the quality would have to be as good as what I'm getting with my 5D.

Good Camera
A great camera, extremely versatile. However, its downside seems to be the operating system which is not as smooth as the camera, from my own experience. Connectivity for wirelessly uploading photos is not as stable as it should be. Also, fuji, for some reason changed the “fujifilm cam remote” app to now require the location to be switched on, on the mobile device before allowing any photos to be uploaded. Why?! That should be entirely the individual’s choice.
