My wife and I tend to like our mattresses on the firmer side, rather than sink in and soft, but this one was just too firm for us. We gave it a month to get used to it, but I was getting back ache and it didn't agree with us. The "risk-free" trial period of 60 days was a big part of us buying this particular mattress and so we claimed a refund under the terms of this trial. The refund took a little while to process and arrange collection but have just received our money back and pleased overall with the service we received from Nytex. They lived up to their promise of a full refund. Thanks.

Alway hard to decide what mattress to get, I did go round the shops and try out a few but how do you try unless you sleep on them! I picked this mattress because I do have a bad back and the free trial gave me the opportunity to try with out fear of purchasing the wrong type for me.From day one I have no complaints this is a firm but supported mattress, my back has not given me any trouble at all, the foam supports and allows your body to breath, I’m not over hot or cold for that matter I would recommend without hesertation.

Was initially very happy with the Nytex Hybrid mattress. However, after some months I noticed the edges of the mattress had slipped and bulged in places. The reason it had started to bulge at the edges? .... because the foam parts were coming unglued.And today when turning it I saw a large dip on the top of the mattress. When I unzipped the cover I could see that the memory foam had split and the pocket springs were visible!I'm REALLY unhappy that after only 18 months of ownership it's now fit only for the recycling centre. NOT good enough Nytex, not nearly good enough!UPDATE:On Saturday 18th May 2019 I finally received a replacement mattress from Nytex. It took a month of emails (mostly from me to them) but they did eventually come good and delivered another mattress in place of the defective one.Hopefully this one will last longer than 18 months, but having seen the poor construction of the initial mattress we will have to wait and see if this new one fairs any better!Fair play to Erin at Nytex who did seem to try her best, so 5* to her at least.

Have had it a week, its very good so far, no backache and very comfy firm supportive but soft. Im giving it 3 stars as its too early to say if it lasts and I will update in a month.Its got to January now, ive had it a month, what no one tells you about memory foam mattresses is that they aren't just affected by the heat of your body they are also are affected by the heat or cold of the room, so now its snowy and cold my bedrooms cold ( who keeps the heating on al night) and the mattress is rock hard, started waking every morning with hip pain, lower back pain. Have used an old microfibre duvet under the mattress protector for the time being but have had to order a thick wool mattress topper to go on the memory foam mattress. Had I known this would happen I would not buy again, I would stick with a pocket sprung. Because of this I am reducing my score to 1 star.

so far very comfortable.....update:- nearly a year of *according to my wife....the best mattress shes ever slept on....ordering another one for a smaller bed....very impressed.

I don't normally write reviews, but felt I had to with this one. We bought this mattress for our 11 year old son. My husband suffers from a really bad back, so finds it hard to get comfortable in bed some nights. He slept in my son's bed on this mattress and said it's the best nights sleep he's had in a long time. We've had alot of memory mattresses in the past, but this is by far the best we've had in our household. So good we are now going to purchase one for our bed, even though our matters is just over a year old.

We brought this mattress because it was a British company and the price was good. The other option was one imported from Australia and id rather buy more locally sourced items. When it arraived it was well wrapped and didnt take long to get to the right size. Although others compained about the smell we didnt find it intrusive. I think we slept on it after a couple of days and had the window open during the day to freshen the room. The mattress is comfortable, we have had it for around 6 months and it is getting more comfortable the more it's slept in. We both like a firm mattress and this is perfect. Our last memory foam mattress made me overheat- thankfully that doesn't happen with this mattress :)I'd definitely buy it again.

I have purchased 3 of these mattresses, two single and one double. I originally purchased as they were a great price and have a 60 day guarantee if you dont like them. I need not worry about ever returning them as they really are an excellent mattress that gives a sound sleep every night. I didnt find the smell too bad after unpacking and it certainly cant be smelt after you have made the bed. The mattress does come rolled up in a vacuum pack which was great for me as I took them out to our house in Austria. Once they are opened, they take a couple of hours to expand to normal size, so just make sure you do this before you want to lay on them!You wont be disappointed if you buy one of these as they are genuinely excellent British quality and I wouldnt hesitate to buy another when when I need a new mattress.
