Not your ordinary lift the flap book
A really lovely lift the flap book for children. I especially liked the page with the knight putting on his armour as that was a multi flap page showing the different layers of clothing under the armour.

Lovely book
2 year old son loves having this book read to him and lifting the flaps. A great insight into castles for toddlers

Not for peppa pig lovers
Bought to go with a toy castle but though two grandsons loved it and it showed what a castle was like in it's heyday one was very distressed that they were roasting Peppa Pig and had her head on a plate.

Very beautiful book
Absolutely beautiful book. Gorgeous illustrations by Felicita Sala. My 1 year old daughter is amazed by this book but have to keep an eye she doesn’t tear the flaps.I love this book too.

My daughter has loved this book since she was two and a half years old
This is a lovely book - perfect for a 2 - 4 year old castle enthusiast. The pages are board book level thick and sturdy.Has sweet, slightly retro style illustrations, and has lots and lots of excellent flaps! I particularly like the way you can see inside all the castle buildings to find out what happens in each. Also, you can ‘dress’ a knight, layering on his armour and chain-mail in flaps.Very highly recommended.

A lot of fragile flaps...
It's a small book with a lot of fragile flaps that i constantly try to save before they are torn off. I am not so sure I would recommend it just because of the durability challenge. The content/illustrations and themes are cute. However, I would recommend you just stick to Priddy flap books - the quality and content are fantastic. Does this help?

My pre-schooler lover the Peep Inside books. For some ...
My pre-schooler lover the Peep Inside books. For some reason he decided for a couple of months that this one made him ill (I think he just happened to be ill the first time we read it, so refused to do so for weeks!!). He has since relented and this is now regularly chosen as one of his night-time stories.Took us several reads before we realise that the portcullis closes, on the last page!
