Don't think twice, it's alright...!
Ordered at around 1:30 am on Thursday, 7th May; due to arrive Tuesday 12th May before 8 pm; arrived on the morning of Monday, 11th May. Excellent service, considering Friday, 8th May was a Bank Holiday (in UK). Well packaged in thick Amazon proprietary box. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight the package was. I have only dabbled a bit with harmonicas in the past - and not for at least 15 years. I decided to have a real go, just for my own home enjoyment. Hence I went for something that appeared to be a lot better than what I have had in the past. Hohner is a no-brainer brand to go with - as long as a decent model is selected. I have to say, you do get what you pay for. At £62-something after delivery is added, I felt 99% certain that the Crossover would be a safe bet. I am not disappointed. The harp is smaller than models I have had in the past - and so light, yet sturdy. All the main 20 notes are perfectly in pitch - though I'm no great pitch bender as yet, so cannot comment with accuracy on that aspect at the moment - maybe I will update on that detail in the future. It really is a beautiful little thing to hold and just look at - but I didn't buy it as an eye-candy novelty. However, the overall look of quality is a reassuring indicator that it will perform as expected for many years to come. Yes, I have managed some bends on it, straight out of the box - though it is my inadequate expertise that makes them sound a bit like a chicken in pain at the moment. I know it will improve as I do. The straight notes are spot on. I just can't get over how small and light, yet solid it is. Oh, it comes in a nice little padded zipper case too. Maybe I'll get a few more in different keys - I'll get used to the C first, though. Yes, I would buy from the same supplier and I would buy the same model harp (in alternative keys) again. No sweat...!

Quality - but at a cost
Hohner Crossover is a great solid harmonica. Nice, balanced, raspy tone - similar to the classic Marine Band, but a different animal. Bamboo comb is nice and the cover plates on these are great. Easy to dismantle for reed work and customisation, but these are pretty good out of the box in my experience. The only downside to the Crossover (and the Thunderbird) is the cost. These are pretty premium harmonicas - and they are good. But you might want to consider cheaper alternatives, especially if you are looking to buy a complete set. Took a star off for cost - but these are quality harmonicas. No doubt about it.

Good for more experienced players, single note playing is trickier than some other Honer versions. .
Sounds good, however playing single notes is a little tricky for the less experienced players. Beautifully made. Personally I have found the Honer MS series in G to be amazing to play and preferred that to the crossover. Even the standard a Marine band is better for single note playing.

Solid build, easy to play
I'd heard the marine band crossover blues harp was good so paid the extra. Compared to the standard Hohner blues harp this is much more responsive. I'm only a beginner but what was noticeable was that I could get the bend notes on all the low end notes straight off, unlike the standard blues harp (half the price). Good sound as well. Would recommend for the serious novice but a bit pricy for someone who just wants to play some simple tunes. You get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for .
Top of the range reflected in the price but it is of superior quality. But how long it lasts will be the test!.

Probably the best 'out-of-the-box' harp for Blues players…
Good enough for serious pro use. Definitely not a kids' toy. Good sound. Good for bending. Definitely my 'go-to' harp. Will last for several years with reasonable use. Amazon offers a great price, too.

Amazing!
Amazing! Sounds clear, bright and easy to play. Beautiful instrument. Small note, feels like gaps are slightly different to a lee oskar and othe brands so takes a little getting used. Worth every dollar.

Easier bending and overblows
Upgraded from Special 20, after using it for 10 years. It was well worth for the price Rs. 6500.
