Q: Instructions say do not use on "candlesticks with weighted bases, knives with weighted handles". How do I tell if my candlesticks/knives are ok or not

I can answer surely for the candlesticks. A candlestick with a weighted base has a flat base. A candlestick without a weighted base has a base that is hollow and rests on the table on the thin circular edge of the candlestick of that hollow base.All the knives that have the blade pushed inside the handle, i.e. that are not made in one piece, should not be put in a Silver bath, I think.

Yes, I clean all my EPNS cutlery etc with this. The instructions warn against using it for anything with a 'weighted' handle but I assume that applies to older items where there isn't a welded joint. My Kings pattern knives have weighted handles which are sealed onto the blade and have been fine

4 permable, aluminium faced sachets per box, you get better results using baking powder and aluminium foil

Q: Will this bring my silver plated bracelet to like new

Probably unlikely unless the bracelet is of high quality and in good condition. The product only cleans, it does not replate, but there are products that you can use which will restore the plating to some extent

Cleaned very tarnished items in two applications.

Cleaned tarnish off a tarnished teapot, jug and sugar bowl after two applications, worked very well as the items were about eighty years old.

Does it work ?

I bought this to try as I am a bit sceptical about these things. I had a number a of items including a silver trophy and some silver plate. Following the instructions the solid silver cleaned perfectly as did the plate with the exception of two cups which may not have proper silver I am quite impressed and will buy again as it is a very easy way to clean silver
