Interesting and educational
Bought this book for my 3 year old grandson who is very curious as to how everything works. It is a favourite book for him and the lift the flap way of showing what's happening behind the scene is a big hit.Very well thought out and would suit older children too.

Great, interactive book
Perfect for my three year old who is very interested in "how things work". Lots of flaps to open and things to explain. A very interactive book at a good price.

My great nephew loves this book!
I bought this for my 3 year old great nephew to give to him on my recent five night visit. This was the only book he wanted to 'read' with me during my entire stay! He loved lifting all the flaps to see the inner workings of cars, household water systems, bicycles etc etc. He found every single page fascinating and had loads of questions! I knew it would be a hit but it surpassed even my expectations!Just a point to note ...the flaps are very well 'fastened' down and we nearly tore the first one we opened so, safely away from the small boy of course, I took a knife to the flaps to loosen them in order to proceed with all the others.

My 4yo loves it
Beautifully illustrated and well organized. It starts with basic principles like levers, pulleys and screws, and then builds on that to explain how various mechanical devices work. The child can look around and play with the flaps, which show how things are built inside and often leads to questions about how various gadgets work.

My daughter loves this book
This is really good at explaining how things work. My daughter got this when she was 4 which is younger than the target age. Some of the ideas are a bit hard but she loves it anyway and asks for it again and again. Sometimes we look at the real object to help understand how it works in the book.

excellente collection
Ces livres Usborne à rabat sont géniaux. Je dirais qu'ils s'adressent à des enfants de 3 à 7 ans. Mon petit de 9 mois les adore à cause des rabats uniquement.

great book
I have brought this book and I think I got what I was looking for, a easy to follow book which enplanes how most of the things you have around you work. Definitely a book to add in your library. Kids will love taking all the things from your kitchen and move them around and around in order to understand how does it work.
