Worked for me
I became Anaemic during my pregnancy and was prescribed a couple of different Iron tablets (ferrous sulphate and, subsequently, ferrous fumarate). These made me sick and/or constipated and so, on the advice of a nutritionalist, I started taking the Solgar Hematinic Formula in the third trimester. The docs, nurses and pharmacists that I consulted didn't know much/anything about this product - as it's a proprietary formula and not in their "big book" of medicine knowledge. They were not particularly happy that I was not taking their advice and almost guilted me into agreeing to continue to take their prescribed medicine and put up with the side effects. I have never written a review on Amazon before but I felt that I need to share this story as I am happy to report that today - having taken the Solgar Hematinic Formula for 4 weeks, 1 tablet 3 times a day with food - my Hb has risen from 9.7 to 10.4. So it's worked for me!

Healed my anaemia
My second purchase. As an anaemic person, I had difficulties adjusting my iron levels for many years now. I have bought many brands and even switched to liquid iron without any success. After a week of use, I could feel a difference. It is the first time in 3 years that my iron level are back to normal so I am more than pleased

I see this product only has one review, and it's a good one. I buy Hematinic Formula from a shop in Delft in the Netherlands where I live. Like the other reviewer iron pills from the doctor did not work for me. They cause constipation and did not raise my blood count at all. After taking these tablets three times a day for a few months I had another blood test taken. I had moved up into the bottom part of the 'normal' range! For a mal absorber of iron that is as good as it can get. I can recommend them.

Pills a little bit big and a bit uncomfortable to swallow but does not cause stomach damage or nausea as I have had with other iron pills.
