Polar T31 Transmitter

Really pleased with it. It connected immediately to my Spirit R800 rowing machine and works fine.

We cannot go to the gym without our Polar Heart monitors. These work well with most electronic exercise equipment. I watch my heart rate instead of the machine intensity. It makes it easy to keep a steady pace that keeps me in my personal heart rate zone that is good for me. It gives a constant reading without having to grab the heart monitor handles. Washable. I had my first one for about 15 years. I would still be using it, but I accidentally left it somewhere. I replaced it with exactly the same monitor. Great product with a great price. So worth it!!!!!!

......bought this as recommended by the rowing machine booklet Just strap it on your chest as instructions and it works. No switches, buttons, controls of any kind or even a mention of the battery that is inside - another reviewer has already raised the issue of the non-replaceable battery. Comes with a medium size strap which would just about fit a 44-46" chest, although for that size perhaps better to buy the Large belt available separately. Important reminder for any couple with a home rowing machine or similar - you might be able to share the cleanable plastic monitor part - but you MUST have your own straps!

I was a bit concerned that this may not work as my machine is over 10 years old. No worries though as soon as the treadmill was turned on it started to give a heartrate reading, much better than the system fitted to the treadmill which is often inaccurate and means holding onto the metal contacts whilst running. An added plus is this can be used to monitor heartrate whilst doing other activities so long as the treadmill is powered up and the screen can be seen. It came supplied with a medium strap which I thought would be too small but no its fine as there is a large amount of adjustment,(I normally wear XXL size tops).

I bought this for use with equipment at the gym - notably a Precor treadmill and a STAR TRAC spinner. I decided on the uncoded version as it was cheaper than the coded and had never seen another gym user using a HRM. Before i used it I read that STAR TRAC will only recognise coded straps but was relieved when it did connect and it worked really well - stayed connected. No interference luckily but that was due to spinners being in the far corner of the gym away from most equipment and no other users wearing HRMS. However on the treadmill my HRM was detected on treadmills both sides of me and I also found the connectivity and measurements were erratic - this could be due to the fact that the HRM was trying to connect to other equipment near by. I would recommend paying a bit extra and buying a coded one. Also you cant changed the battery on this. When its dead its dead - however you do get 2400hrs / 5 years of use

I bought mine as a replacement for the standard, fabric-based transmitter that shipped with my Polar HRM. I'd been having real problems with the standard transmitter sending crazy readings after extended periods of operation (as have many others judging by the reviews here and elsewhere). I suspected that the failure of my original transmitter was due to moisture getting in via the battery compartment, which is located at the rear of the standard unit. Quite why Polar placed the battery compartment seal right next to very wet and sweaty skin is beyond me. I came to this conclusion having tried every kind of practical remedy suggested by fellow sufferers, none of which made a massive difference. I tested my theory by sealing the back of the unit with tape and vaseline - it worked - but was pretty uncomfortable; although I did at least get some evidence for the moisture theory. I could well be wrong, but the correlation seems fairly strong. Anyway back to this device! the uncoded (but hermetically sealed) old-style belt ! Hasn't missed a beat, literally in this case, despite some very long and hot runs. Yes it's uncoded, yes it might be a little less environmentally sound - but it works. Polar used to offer a recharging service back when this design was standard issue, not sure if they still do.

I bought this as my old transmitter stopped working. I bought a battery for the old transmitter but as it turns out, the battery can't actually be replaced (which in itself is ridiculous). Hence I bought this one. First of all, this transmitter is not compatible with the Polar T4 watch even though they say it is. Second of all, to make the transmitter fit around my chest, I obviously adjusted the straps and when I did, I could feel the transmitter on my chest which was quite uncomfortable. I didn't have it on too tight but because the strap and transmitter are quite unyielding, it is not as comfortable as other products out there. Lastly, to return this product, the seller is going to deduct £6.01 for post and packaging. This item came in a ridiculously over-sized box when really a padded envelope would have sufficed. For the seller to deduct £6.01 from me for P&P is a rip off so I don't recommended anyone buying this for a P4 watch or for anyone else in general.

My son bought me the whole set a few years ago but I noticed that the watch was losing the signal during cycle rides and in the gym. I was hoping to avoid the purchase of a whole new system so bought this item. Delivered within one day using the prime system and worked immediately. Obviously this product not only works with the Polar watch but with most cardio machines at the gym. A good product well worth buying

The product is excellent, but there is a delivery delay that causes it to take longer than expected.

Acheté pour remplacer un émetteur hors service (il avait 10 ans !) Fonctionnement impeccable comme quand tout était neuf. Livraison dans les délais et prix intéressant. L'appareil n'était plus dans son emballage d'origine mais en très bon état.
