Good for and protects nicely

Despite initial concerns when the packaging it arrived in looked distinctly "used", the case is a pleasant surprise.Given that the Fire HD 10 itself is a sturdy thing (I've seen YouTube videos where the unprotected device has been thrown hard at walls and floors without suffering any damage!) the case is as much about making the device easy to handle as it is about protecting it.But it does both very well; it feels good and comfortable to handle and obviously offers considerable protection. It doesn't claim to be leather, and indeed isn't but its as good as, looking very smart and leather-like. It does much what a case for a device like this is intended to do; automatically wakes or puts the device to sleep when opened or closed, the stand offers two positions for either work or viewing and it even has a sturdy interior strap for one handed use. I also like the elasticated strap that one can flip over the cover to ensure it isn't accidentally opened; a small attention to detail that is appreciated.What I particularly like is it does these things simply and effectively, without being over- elaborate.A tad expensive but well worth considering given the swamped market for such cases.

I purchased this over a month ago and initially pleased with the case. But a major fault (unless I am doing something wrong) is that it will not stand alone with the restraint as it is sewed on. A problem I didn't initially spot or else I would have returned for another. Be wary of that problem.

This case fits the Amazon FireHD 10 perfectly, but there is a problem that its upside down.The cutouts at the side of the case are positioned such that the FireHD must be inserted one way up in order for the USB port, on/off and volume buttons to be visible through the sleeve.With that in mind, when the cover is folded back and inserted into the flap that enables it to make a triangle shape such that the tablet can be stood up on a flat surface, the tablet is then upside down.Yes the content on the tablet will orient itself, but the speakers that are on the top edge will now be on the bottom edge resting upon the flat surface where they will be muffled.I can only assume that maybe the first design of the Amazon Fire HD 10 had the speakers on the opposite edge, but the previous model certainly didn't.I guess someone messed up in the design / quality testing department here.That being said its a sturdy case with a nice leather effect look, just let down by not being able to form a stand correctly to have the tablet propped up on a table.

I asked for a kindle fire hd10 for Christmas and wanted a case as well. I assumed I wouldn't get a case as an extra present and I was right.....typical. I spent a while looking around for cases like I do with all my gadgets and finally went for this one. It's sturdy and keeps the tablet which fits the case perfectly nice and secure. I went for this as I watch a lot of movies and tv and i wanted a more upright standing style that you wouldn't get with the more segmented iPad style cases. I have played games while it's propped up and it doesn't tip back when you touch the screen, it also has a handy strap you can slip your hand through for easier holding when reading or surfing the net ect. All the speakers and buttons are exposed and I have no issues using volume or lock buttons. It has magnetic closure so it doesn't fall open and unlocks the device when you do open it. All in all a very good case that does what's required while looking good and not being bulky, my only concern is that the slot you use to prop it up is made of the same leather style of the case so I'm thinking that after a while it will stretch and stop working as it should, maybe a solid plastic would of been a better choice for this bit but only time will tell. Happy with it so far and I would recommend it.

Good product but still cannot get a case that allows me to stand in upright position whilst reading. (Maybe I still have not worked out if this one can do upright and I'm at fault).

Bought as a Christmas present & received well.

A present for my wife who is very happy with it.

Great portable device that is very convenient to use without any fuss and easy to set-up. The 10" screen is certainly worth the extra cost over the Fire 8 as well as paying extra for having "no ad's" popping up all over. Screen resolution and clarity is excellent for a portable device. Between Amazon Prime, u-tube and the web-browser, you can stay busy all day without realizing time has flown by. Not to mention all the other app's. I have not used it to download other 3rd party app's so can't comment on whether fit-for-purpose for that.

Good in itself but the wrong one for my recently acquired Fire tablet. My mistake, now replaced.

This case is well put together, sturdy and strong. It looks great with the black leather look finish. Function wise, it works well., folds up into a triangle tall so you can stand it up or if you are sitting down it works well the other way round. Dropped my tablet twice so far and no damage to either my tablet or to the case itself. Only negative and it’s a tiny negative, is some times it’s a pain to swipe the menu down from the top of the screen with the case on, the outer edge of the part protecting the screen gets in the way. sometime you get it, sometimes you don’t. No biggie!

I have been using this for around 3 weeks now...This is a very functional.design, feels quite sturdy and easy to use in a number of ways. Appears good va!ue for the money although time will tell. Very happy with purchase

Access to power button restricted when device is in cover and adaptive brightness sensor is completely covered. It would appear that the Fire HD 10 was never tested inside this cover or else these problems would have been noticed. The hole for the camera lens is also in completely the wrong place. All in all a a pretty poor effort considering it is being marketed as suitable for this device.

I quiet like thisIt’s battery is good and the overall ‘feel’ is ok.This is as expectedHowever I do think it could be a bit quicker and amazon should definitely invest more in interfaceI want to write good things about it but really it’s just an ok product.My recommendation would be buy it knowing it’s not an Apple tab..50/50 minded

Simply packaged in a plastic sleeve that was easy to open. The Fire 10 HD slides in to a snug fitting reinforced section that has cutouts for all the ports, buttons and ventilation. Secures tightly with a velcro fastening to hold your Fire in place. Took me a while to figure out the "easel" stand for the display but once I spotted the tab on the back of the case it was easy to use and sturdy when positioned on a flat surface. Nice feel to the outer and when folded back for reading the inside has a pleasurable velvety texture (I found myself rhythmically stroking it as though it were a cat whilst browsing Facebook).The pricepoint is excellent and I received it within 20 Hours of purchase.
