Hey man so I'm not sure how much you know on it so I'll start from the beginning. This is a condenser mic which means that there is no integrated passive power supply( you need to plug it in) so a power source needed is what would be considered an intake equalizer or phantom power supply. I got mine real cheep of of Amazon it's an innogear ig101. So from your microphone you need to run an XLR ,or "mic", cable from your mic into your external power supply unit and then an XLR from the power to your computer with a USB adapter or 1/8 inch adapter or hopefully yours cam with an XLR output to 1/8 inch or USB input ending. Then once it is powered it should be working or at least working better. Hopefully this was helpful if so; cool if not; cool. That's all I've got for yah so I hope it works out for you.

Q: Does this need phantom power?

Yes, but it'll perform just fine with less than the "typical" 48v of phantom. I'm running mine directly into my little Kustom PA-50 self-contained p.a. system, which supplies 15v of phantom power, and it performs really well!

Q: Can i connect it directly to an android phone with phantom power?

At a glance, you'd be able if you use a phantom power suplly. Neewer has those also. But since you'll need at least one extra devices, I'd highly recomend using an audio interface. Nowadays is easy to find an interface compatible with smartphones. That will give you extra clarity in you recordings since a lot of tech parameters are way better than just plugging in and mic to your phone.

Q: How can I figure out if the mount is compatible with my stand?

BEWARE the Mic Mount is NOT STANDARD US 5/8" 27thread for Mic Stands or US Market Articulated Booms! You WILL have to buy an Expensive Adapter that costs another $10 to $12. The Mic cradle included has a mount that is 3/8" 16T, ONLY USED IN CHINA! So ALL the adapters come from guess where? CHINA! There is NO WARNING of this in the Product Information on the Amazone page either! Your only other alternative is to buy a China Mic Stand or China market Book Arm!
