Brilliant (pun intended) extra gloss protection by Autoglym
This Autoglym extra gloss protection is brilliant. I give the car a good wash and polish, then apply this. I let it dry to a haze (about 15 minutes) then buff it to a good shine. It lasts for approx 3 months and water just beads and rolls off the paintwork. It's really simple to apply and really easy to buff off. I recommend this product to both family and friends.

Definitely brings out the shine!
A replacement for one that ran out, I have used this for years, if you have a decently prepared vehicle this definitely brings out the shine and I use it along with SRP and the ceramic spray for the first deep clean, then as a top up when needed, it can definitely be used on its own, goes on and buffs off very easily and quickly!

Excellent value
Very good value due to the fact it you use sparingly. Do not use a big cloth, just a small one. I always use a 100% cotton cloth. Cotton dusters are good. Do not use nylon cloths, they are abrasive and leave a hazy shine under certain lights. To benefit from the autoglym gold you must wash your car dry it then apply autoglym renovating polish to get rid of the hazy scrathes. But you can only do this so many times to a cars bodywork due to a layer of paint coming off onto the cloth. Be careful with metalics because there is a clear laquer and this wears off as well. Some cars have a clear laquer over the colored paint this can wear off. Really speaking a car with just a base color can be renovated more than a metallic one. Some base colors do oxidise, they go a misty color a lighter than they were over time. Red seems to be worse for this due to the fact it always looks brighter. It is actually radiation, light radiation, in time that radiation wears away. But coating it in a good polish like autoglym gold. will hold in the color for longer. Once your car has been cleaned with a wash and using renovating polish, the super resin polish is not needed, just the extra gloss. Just use the red super resin polish for a 2 monthly clean, especially in winter when there is salt on the roads. In the summer the tar is a problem, but just use autoglym tar remover and then the red super resin polish and a small amount of the extra gloss. The extra gloss goes a long way if used sparingly as it should be used. Good thing with the extra gloss is you just wipe it on with no buffing required. So just apply this regularily then it saves the hard work later.

Lasts ages and easy to apply
I suppose like many people I thought polishing and waxing a car were two different terms for the same thing. But after watching a few Youtube videos I realise they aren't! Polishing makes a car's paint smooth and shiny by removing the surface dirt and grime that washing doesn't remove, and also by removing oxidation of the paintwork that occurs naturally. It does that by removing a microscopic layer from the surface - a bit like polishing silver removes the tarnish from the surface. Waxing, on the other hand, applies a film of wax/sealant to the paint to protect it from the elements, it makes rain bead off and helps stop damage from acidic bird droppings etc. Wax takes longer to work up a high gloss mirror shine, but I am not too bothered if my car looks a tiny bit streaky after a quick application, it's more important to me for the paintwork to be protected. And Extra Gloss Protection does a great job, rain still beads up 3 months after application. Just be aware that this stuff is very watery so be careful you don't apply too much.
