Absolutely brilliant
Best bet is to order this alum block, as it's well protected on its way to you.Tried ordering the same block but in a cardboard box and it arrived broken.Certainly lasts a long time if kept dry after use!

The best product to heal shaving cuts and save dry cleaning bills. IMHO
Cut yourself shaving ? It hurts and won’t stop bleeding ? And when it does stop, then you get dressed, it then starts to bleed again on your shirt collar, just as you’re heading for that board meeting, or interview, or client presentation ? Bu99er !!Fear no more. Problem solved. For less than the cost of a new shirt, or even a pristine dry cleaner stain removal service, I introduce the Alum Bar.This traditional solution has been the barbers secret for many years (about 150 years so I’m told). The alum bar, when rubbed on the shaving cut, immediately stops the bleeding and allows the cut to heal, invisible from 2 feet away in 10 minutes and very unlikely to ruin that lucky white shirt.Advised to get this by a barber for when I’m refining my open razor technique. Yes I did cut myself a couple of times and the alum bar did it’s job as promised. Not recommended for fast flowing cuts, such as a *big vein or a *carotid artery, but if you catch a spot or a tiny cut then this is ideal.Recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️* note. For those perhaps lacking in 1st aid training, if you ever come across a cut vein or artery, please apply pressure to the wound to stem the flow of blood and call the emergency services.

Quality alum block
Alum blocks have to be one of the most overlooked (or under-rated) products in shaving, and the French-made Osma blocks rightly have one of the best reputations as a quality example. Coming in a neat perspex case with a discardable cardboard slip with the branding attached, it's very well [hand] produced and the purity level seems as good as its reputation; if dried after use it will last well over a year.I won't waste time commenting on usage, other than it does exactly as you would hope, if dried properly should last well over a year, glides well, and soothes irritation effectively while being a natural astringent. Dunk in cold water, apply after shaving, and either leave, or dry off with a towel after a minute or so. It seals minor cuts well also. Bordering on an essential item of kit, and far more effective than countless over-priced products promoted by major brands. It worked for centuries, and it still does.

Super smooth and soothing
Not the first alum block I’ve used but this is next level. Exceptionally smooth, no chips and feels so soft on the skin post shave. Light tingle as to be expected due to alum’s astringent qualities but it doesn’t dry the skin out. Face feels great after washing it off ready to apply aftershave balm. Leaves no residue. Will 100% buy again

Girlfriend friendly .
Have ordered this stuff before from a different supplier but this one had a larger block with a nice case .It does work extremely well on irritated skin after shaving . I have had to order this after I lost the previous one I had .Which miraculously turned up just after the new one arrived and had obviously had a lot of use .I have since got to the bottom of its original disappearance was in the same place my after shave balm and my expensive razors and my new boxers had been living . Girlfriends do have this strange habit of borrowing things without asking don't they . lol. After seeing me use this product on my neck and face for razor burn she decided to try it on legs and bikini stuff after shaving and applying my aftershave balm to them .So I suppose my girlfriends nice smooth unirritated bits are a very good advert for this product too.And if she is reading this I have to say buy your own its a reasonable price .

An essential for any wet shaver.
A nicely sized bloc of alum that comes in a sturdy plastic case and will, as far as I can tell, last me for the remainder of my natural life.I like to use this as part of a post shave routine. I am a DE shaver and, although I don't usually have any problems, I find that a rub of this across a damp face seems to keep my skin in better condition and prevent ingrown hairs. If there are any slight scrapes or cuts then this rapidly stops the bleeding albeit with a tiny zing of pain as it - just enough to let you know it is working. This brand seems to be better than others I have tried. I am pretty good about giving it a pat dry after use but, after 3 months, I am not sure I could tell the difference between my one and a brand new version. It really does seem set to last and is staying wonderfully smooth so it does drag or scratch as it is moved over skin.

An essential part of any mans wet shaving routine
Being an electric shaver for the past couple of decades I have gradually being building up my arsenal of products to compliment my new DE wet shaving routine. I was aware of alum for use as a natural deodorant but not for is astringent properties to help with post-shave healing etc. As a chemical I guess it is what it is, there are lots of branded and unbranded products to choose from, but this one is nicely presented with its plastic box which protects it from steam etc. It may appear large in the photos put it's actually quite small (only 100g after all) but it will last you ages if you treat it with care and pat it dry before you put it away.I find I get the best results from this if I wet my face with cold water, wet the block, rub it over the shaved area, let my face air dry, then rinse my face again before applying post-shave balm. It's impressive to watch those tiny nicks and cuts stop bleeding before your very eyes!

Exactly what an Alum Block needs to be.
Block is a decent size. Lovely finish. Box is great for storage. Whats not to like. Honestly it's exactly what it says it is. Will be buying again soon.
