The Beurer MG40 does just what is described, but other reviews are correct and you should read them, so you know what to expect. I have to give it good marks because it does what was described. I bought this for my wife who has a sore mis-shapen foot, and often back/ leg ache as result. I thought the infrared would help to ease the discomfort and massager would help. It doesn't do a lot. The infrared is waste of time, there is no useful or tangible heat given off (other reviews do say this but I thought they were moaning). The massage fittings fit on the other side and are all very hard plastic, so it does work for muscle and soft-tissue manipulation but not for anything hard. It would benefit from a bumpy rubber attachment for boney/ muscular areas. For example you couldn't massage knees, ankles or hips because the attachments are too hard. But ideal for deeper muscle areas, just be aware that the infrared has no heat.

I've gotten through about 3 of these devices over the past few years. The infrared lamp stops working after about 6-9 months despite only occasional weekly use. I wish it had a flatter and more mobile design since it's not something you want to be holding in place by hand for long periods. I generally would use a bandage sleeve to hold it in place on my limbs. This isn't always easy because of the shape and the short cord. I've never seen any sense in using the vibratory massage functions. The infrared lamp though is very effective - warming up soft tissue and quite deep. It's been effective in helping in the recovery from tendinopathy and muscle tears by helping to improve blood flow to injured areas.

Really good, heat mode massages muscles nicely. Could do with a longer cord but that's nit picking. Would buy again.

this is total rubbish you cant feel any vibrations at all. dont buy it.

Easy to use. I used it to treat pain and inflammation from calcific tendonitis in my shoulder. It provided great and focused relief. I used both the infrared and massage functions. I felt that the massage function was most beneficial in my case. The device can angulate in a few directions which means it can reach more or less anywhere and everywhere. I think it is good value for money.

really a nice product a bit heavy to handle but really good to use on back and shoulders may be i will buy one more in future but happy with the purchase and the delivery was really fast. I looked at too many massagers and was confused about them but I read its reviews and then decided to get it but I think on the guidance booklet there should be the guidance about how to change its rotating heads as with long nails i was scared to change it as could break my nails but then after changing few times it was easy to change its heads. overall its a good product
