If i want to create crystals, would you recommend me pouring it off before everything has solidified, or waiting until it's cooled and smashing it?

Pour it into a container, like a tin foil loaf pan. And then cut it in half once it is cool. It will need to be fairly deep.

Is this metal good insulator for magnetic field??

Bismuth will generate heat if exposed to a magnet. You'll need a flir camera to see it. I would think it insulates magnetic fields well, because it reaists it enough to make heat.
