Love awbie our favourite
I am really impressed with the quality of this product, my 5 year old loves it. Not too interested in the word game at the moment, but loves the numbers and tangram. I purchased 'pizza co' and 'coding awbie' separately and he loves these too.All the osmo apps are free but you do need the osmo stand and reflector for the iPad or tablet (we use iPad). I did not buy the base for monster app, we found a white board or paper (but you have to keep using a new piece of paper with each drawing) did the job (sorry osmo) same with the newton app, we found the reflector could see lego pieces and used this info to make the game playable without purchasing all the pieces. I do highly recommend and am saving for the detective board for geography.. well done osmo.Nothing in this starter kit can't be done on the cheap, such as good old fashion pen and paper because of this it makes osmo a lot of money, but I think the next generation just learn more interactively with tech. I'm happy because I got a discount at Christmas, I also found with research that I could save some money by buying the genius starter kit and adding other games that need interactive board and pieces etc. you might find you can by the base and reflector and then just get the free apps, that way you can use pen and paper for e.g. And then decide if you want to pay up. Although they do grow with this product, at least over the next 10 years!

Love it!
We love this...it’s fun. I keep annoying my 4yr old as I keep wanting to do it.The keys are far more satisfying than app coding taps.As with all of Osmo things- the graphics are fun.

Pleasantly surprised with this game. Great educational features.
I saw the video for this and wasn’t overly impressed. We had purchased the Genius Kit and Pizza Co which are brilliant but this didn’t grab my attention. Then I learned that my 6 year old daughter was learning Coding with a different system. I looked into that system and immediately thought that it sounded similar to this in many ways. So we bit the bullet and a family member bought this for my daughter’s birthday (which was just over a week ago). Our daughter loves it and keeps asking to play it. I asked her if it was like the other system they use in her class and she said yes and this was just as much fun.It literally encourages your child to plot a route to collect strawberries using Coding tiles. The more you collect in one go, the higher the score. Your score is rewarded with leaves which you ‘plant’ in another part of the game (which you can go to at any point). The plants grow colourful eggs which can be used to obtain things in a campsite. Sleeping bag, tent, pond, duck etc. You can move up, down, left, right, jump, grab to the side and repeat. You can instruct on how many times to move in a direction or how many times to jump etc. All good fun.So from being uninterested and thinking what’s the point of this, I’m now really pleased we have got it and understand the educational aspect of the game. Our daughter loves it so much, she actually bought Coding Jam with her birthday money.

WARNING! DISCONTINUED SET! BUY THE NEW FULL SET!
WARNING THIS IS DISCONTINUED! IF YOU DO NOT OWN CODING JAM, DO NOT BUY THIS. BUY THE NEW FULL SET. IF YOU BUY THIS AND LATER WANT THE OTHER TILES YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO BUY BOTH TOGETHER! CODING FAMILY IS THE NEW REPLACEMENT . YOU WILL END UP PAYING £80 FOR THE OTHER SET !This is a great game and great for learning. This (The coding games in general really) are the Second most played Osmo games She plays and We do pretty much have all or them. The Story dress up game being her main go to game . this game is basically using coding to get the character to go where it needs to go, to perform moves like grab the Strawberries and Jump Over water. The longer the Coding / more they thiun Ahead the move Strawberriesthey get.Strawberries are then used to make a little home, kind of camp Site. coding Jam using coding to make music and there is Other games also. It Starts them off Slow and Simple then Increases in Complexity butr over allit is easy for them to Pick up and a great way for them to learn coding. It is Very engaging, even i quite enjoy it if im honest. I also like the fact it is kind of the best of both worlds really. It is Screen time but also interactive and educational so i don't feel so guilty handing her the pad. You do need to buy the base unit and reflector for either ipad or five tablet . make sure your device is Supported also. I ended buying both bases as i originally brought it for use on the kids fire tablet 7 but it didn't work it. at a later date i did end up getting a newer fire tablet- so from using both Ipad and fire i find these games are better on ipads vs fire, unless you are on a old Ipad. But not massively or anything. they clout Wonh or anything else but i have found i could download the parents app on my Samsung. The parents app allows you to track your little ones process across all games which is also nice - I have been Impressed with this game and In general i have been Impressed with OSmo and all the games , the majority or the apps are great although there are a few random ones where not only one the games not great but the apps are bad also almost Seem extremely old and low quality.. None of those are main games though . Just random . As above the coding tiles don't Just give you that one game there are others also aslong a syou have the pieces this is also why it's worth buying both sets and likely why they have combined them. Except being rather on the expensive Side for What it is this Can be easily forgiven as the benefits to your Child are greater - My daughter was also playing and enjoying thecoding game ( and others ) at a younger age than on the box. I have tosay the games have been extremely helpful during lockdown and my daughter being apart of Shielding group. This was alot better and more educational than the mass of paper i got from my daughters School. We where left with tons or paper which was mostly Colouring or hard to keep her engaged in , as My daughers School Uses purpil mash but i had No end of trouble trying to access it as i do not own a Computer And it didnt work well on phones or pads (not abad site though ). I ended up using Osmo and doing my own bits. I have been rather disappointed with osmo latelythough . firstis the apps have been rather Slow, bugy, crashing or worst of all itwill read what She is doing Wrong. so She will do the right thing or do the right Answer yet i will register it Wrong and dothe Wrong thing and / or say She got it wrong when She didn't.Im hoping its just fluke as We have had these a new years and no issue, maybe it's due to the new contant and games So Just in need or bug fixes. Then as with my warning, i Spoke to Customer Services when i noticed that coding awbie and jam where being sold together as i wanted to buy coding Jam for her for Christmas, I was assured not to worry, that it wasn't a isshe that all i had to do was at Checkout i Could say that i owned this game and it would take it off/ out of cart and money off, so i would Just be buying the CodingJam pieces. i was also recommended by Customer Services to buy during the Sale days as there would be offeres on. I was wanting to buy a new things so i listened and I waited till black friday only to then find out i now needed to buy coding family and could not do what Customer Services had assured me i could do. At that time i couldn't find the coding jam Pieces anywhere either, not on here or anywhere. Customer Services Said they had none left either. was told the only thing they had left WaS the replacement set for jam ( the 6 different tiles)they did send those 6 tiles as a sorry but unfortunatly they didn't work out as Could only do the first couple or levels then She was missing tiles/ didn't have enough. They found Some Stock, so managed to not have to pay £ 80 for Coding awbie. they have not only discontinued the Coding Awbie and coding due Seperate boxes, but Stopped the ability to do as i was told i could at Checkout meaning I or anyone who has purchased Coding awbie or Jam Individually now have to pay more and basically rebuy the set they Own to then get the other Set they have yet to buy. No thought for Customers that have brought them Seperately. Not the only thing either they have alSo discontinued the Iphone base /iphone use so these who brought to use on iphone you would need to buy a base for Ipad or fire tablet and even worse for those who do not own either as it Would mean buying a new tablet or not being able to Use the games. Sadly they aren't Supported by other tablets. they have also now Started Charging for apps/ game's that Where previously free / part of the apps connected to the purchase of game's So now had to pay for Games She had already been playing. ( Charging for new Apps too, but that's atleast acceptable vs charging for games that Where previously part of the purchase ).So Yes do not buy this- the coding Awbie or the Coding Jam like this, It will and up Costing you more later If you want the other Set as these are now just Old left over Stock . Again The tiles are now Sold in one SingIe Set - Coding family and Cant be brought Seperately, at the time i was dealing with them there was no Coding Jam left but they have how reappeared so for those Who own either set if you Want the of the other Set i would buy now. for those who dont own either itS best to buy coding family as unless you are buying both Seperate Sets together now at the Same time you will pay for it later . but then You may aswell buy the new Set anyway especially When on Sale.

Coding like a pro
Bought as a Christmas gift to expand our existing osmos collection. Needed a little support from an adult, as the system supports them and daughter is coding like a pro. Already had to increase the age range to make it more challenging.

Didáctico y divertido
Me preocupaba que mi hija ya fuera muy grande para jugarlo, tiene seis años, pero resultó ser el mejor regalo. Le divierte y aprende a resolver problemas a la vez.

Great intro to the world of coding!
We purchased this for our children as a fun way to introduce them to creating sequences in a coding format that is both fun and educational. Awbie is a wonderful way of learning the basics of coding skills, starting out with the simplest steps and building to more complex sequences that are more challenging in a non-forceful, non-failure driven way.The coding pieces are simple, easy to use and attach to each other without being cumbersome. The game itself is enticing and go-at-your-own-pace, so even the most inexperienced players can have an opportunity to learn. Those with skills will enjoy the game as well, and Osmo has several additional coding games for more intermediate levels as well. All in all, this has been a wonderful game for our children to learn sequence, logic and solve simple puzzles.
