Great value for money and looks good

Very speedy delivery and easy to assemble (as suggested by other reviewers I used a smear of super glue on the threads). Quality of all the items apart from the tongs is good with a pleasant weight and heft. The tongs are the weakest point as the metal that forms the spring at the top is flimsy and easily misshapen - however, once you've realised that is the case you hold them so as to use them without issue. They look good and were an excellent price that would be very hard to beat. I'm happy overall with the purchase and would recommend them with the one proviso.

I originally bought this companion set for the sister in law, when she was complaining about hr flimsy set. July was the first time we had visited them since buying her it and I was really pleased with the quality for the price that I decided to buy myself one. It is much more sturdier than our original companion set, which cost twice the price.It arrived within days, was well packaged and easy to assemble. It now stands on our fire hearth.

Very sturdy, looks good

Very strong and sturdy and looks good . Excellent value especially at half price. Only had to put the stand together. Screwing a bit awkward as thread poor but putting top loop on first able to turn that to screw in the base. Very satisfied.

I got tempted in with the half price deal despite knowing that it is better to buy things like this where you can see them. I already had a companion set but with 2 fires thought I'd get another as I plan to use the second open fire more. I thought this, thinking it was shorter, would go better with my small wood burner, so I ordered it. It arrived well packaged via Royal Mail. It comes with instructions although one of the screw on bits was missing but it didn't matter because I couldn't screw the part through the base anyway as it was too stiff. It isn't difficult to put together but it's just not well engineered. It's all a bit wonky, even the parts already assembled. Also, the base and top is pretty wide and I struggled to fit it down the side of my wood burner. It isn't short like I thought in fact it's taller than my existing one. I wouldn't pay more than the half price for it and if I saw it in a bargain shop I wouldn't pay more than £5.99. I could send it back but its heavy and for the use it's going to get it should last a season. I wouldn't recommend.

What a fantastic set…. Cannot fault the quality. Would more than recommend!!
