Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast 16 oz, High Gloss

After watching A LOT of YouTube videos on techniques for making things with resin, I noticed that many of the American contributors use this resin and rave about it, so I thought I would give it a go.It took a month to arrive, but that’s fair enough, we’re in the middle of a pandemic and it came from America. I used it this morning after my usual brand ran out. It mixes and pours well, and it’s looking like I’ll get a good result on the coaster I poured, but the SMELL! It has a very strong smell, even about 8 hours after it was mixed. I will not buy this resin again.

I bought this to protect some coasters i was making. The product was mixed following the included instructions and applied following them also, but even over a week later, the resin was still very tacky, and on one set of the coasters, it even took off all the paint work I had applied, which I was hoping the resin would seal in. Very disappointed. All the coasters have had to be scrapped and I have to start again from scratch. I certainly won't be using this product on those ones.

I usually love this brand but this order was different, the resin was very gloopy as if it were part set already, didn't pour out well and made an extremely bubbly mixture once hardener added
