Advanced Acoustics 2" Acousti-Slab Studio Foam 2ft by 4ft Panel Acoustic Treatment

While this item was great.Amazon very clearly sent me something else. Specifically a 2metre square floor matt that weighs 5kg. I can not believe how you can get this mixed up. Understandably the package has the wrong sticker on it. But sending someone a tube of lead, instead of a 4 foot wide 2 foot long foam VERY LIGHT panel of sound foam. Is unbelievable. Amazon have gone down in my ratings.However its not the end of the world as the item they sent me will still be useful. As Advanced acoustics make great products that are not only affordable but great quality and do the job. The other slabs that im meant to be reviewing are outstanding too. They dont look like much but for the money they're great. I work in an animation studio and these have been incredibly useful for us recording voiceovers. we built two frames for them and covered them in a white fabric. They work a treat and dont look too cheap either. Well worth the money.

Not great, not terrible. Probably not good value for money though. To my, perhaps untrained, eye it's just a thick piece of foam. Alright a blocking noise, but I think I'll need a lot more of it to get the desired effect.

Bought 2 of these. The first pair managed to disappear, my only failed order ever with Amazon in many years. The second two arrived and in short, I wish they had disappeared also. I used them to fill a gap above a window frame that faces the street. The are enclosed in UPVC plastic frame so not stand alone but instead of loft insulation which was getting wet and sagging from the damp, we thought this a better solution. Wrong. The noise is noticeably worse from the street than the loft insulation. They are professionally fitted too with no gaps but they look and feel no better than packing foam (fitters comment). At 25 quid a shot, a complete rip off.

Some improvement in room acoustics, but to have enough of these panels to dramatically improve the room acoustics would cost a lot and I cannot say whether cheaper option would be practically as good. Very expensive for what it is.

Used this to stop the reflections/boom from the facing wall in my snug. It's a medium density acoustic foam slab - nothing fancy but with a bit of nice fabric covering means that it's now nicely dead/flat behind me and the volume doesn't vary weirdly as you lean back.Can't do this with tiles, much better in living spaces.

Not what expected at all, poor customer service. AVOID IT.
