A perfect story in every way.
"You can tell a lot about a person's life by the type of tea one drinks." This is one of my favourite sentences from the book because I am an immeasurable tea lover. This book tells a story for anyone who has or is currently battling with social constraints while pursuing a desire. It is a tale of friendship, feelings, difficulties, bravery, and hope. This book does a fantastic job of articulating the significance of dreaming and fighting for what one wants. Even if it could be exhausting, we must make a decision, whether it's in favour of a rival family or society.Devika, the novel's protagonist, constantly battles both internal and external issues in her life, yet she manages to get by owing to her earnest effort and fierce passion for painting.Chaman, Devika's love interest, faces his own challenges, and the standards of long-standing customs and beliefs put their relationship to the test. The book has a true message, and Devika's experience may be related to most people's. Our lives are frequently shaped by our parents' approval or disapproval, but if we believe in ourselves, we may achieve our goals in life. This story is perfect in every way. The title fits nicely, and the cover is quite spectacular. The author's writing is clear and straightforward. which I find most appealing.

An uncensored daily tv soap saga

Good things seem to be around the corner when her plans begin to crumble as her family pushes her for an arranged marriage while Chaman deals with his own complications. As she navigates the social, political, and moral potholes in her path, she comes to a crossroads where one road leads to her lover and another to her art. Which road will she choose? Will she be able to achieve breakthrough as a painter? And when her rebellious instincts take her paintings into a new bold direction that an orthodox society does not appreciate, what consequences will she be willing to bear?GOOD THINGS ARE AROUND THE CORNER tells an unforgettable love story of a strong-willed woman, hell-bent on following her heart.___"Good things are around the corner" sounded like a very optimistic, hopeful & positive title to me and the cover with it's calm vibes adds to the feel. This 312 page book, with its font, a bit smaller than normal size, was lengthy, yes but was a very quick read because it was a page turner and was very easy due to it's simple writing style and vocabulary.Readers who like to read about strong women, feminisn & strong patriarchy, will like the inspiring story. It encompasses a lot of things from intricacies of college life, love affair, adventure, parental discipline to marriage, love, sex, even menses to domestic abuse, women power and an unusual choice for passion & profession and of course, true love. There's poetry, a teaser kind of line at the beginning of each chapter, satyaprem, politics, patriotism etc. The book is divided into 3 parts;-the blouse & the wonder bra-the secure end of the saree-the free flying end of a saree. The narrative was very descriptive, the details were a little too much for my liking. It has diary entries, which was my favourite part and also the story is depicted from numerous POVs of the characters involved, which is something I like. It helps understand the perspective of the same situation from different angles. It is a good romance read for a beginner reader. I wouldn't shy away from terming it ;"an uncensored tv daily soap saga".____Anil Bairwal is an author, a poet, an activist, and a yoga enthusiast. As an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, with an engineering degree in Computer Science from MNNIT Allahabad, he tried his best to keep away from becoming a writer. First, he spent ten years in the IT industry in the USA and then, did a five-year stint coordinating a large pan-India coalition of NGOs to work on various social and political reforms. In the end, however, he could no longer suppress his itch and took to writing full time.Inspiration for his first novel GOOD THINGS ARE AROUND THE CORNER came from his interactions with artists across India when he worked as an activist. His poems and non-fiction writings have appeared in several online and offline publications. He also served as poet-in-residence at Basar Confluence in 2017.Whether writing or not, Anil spends an hour or two every day doing yoga and meditation, and when not writing, he reads or travels to indulge in photography. He also has a tendency to disappear for days, weeks, or months at a whim. But when he is around, he spends his time equally between Rishikesh and Gurgaon.

Good one
It has been a while since I have come across a good adrenaline rush-giving book like "Good Things are Around the Corner" by Anil Bairwal Written in around 300 pages the author has penned down a book that grips you from the very first page.Devika, the main protagonist strives to achieve her goals and realize her ambitions in life. The whole story took us to the edge of her life. Her desire, love, family life and the emotions of all the characters in the story are carried well by the author. The author's artistry shines through in the compelling narrative centered around Devika, a young woman who tenaciously pursues her dreams despite familial opposition. From the moment I delved into Devika's journey, I was entranced by her unwavering determination and resolute spirit. The author adeptly captures her inner conflicts and the heart-rending choices she faces, torn between love and her artistic pursuits. It was impossible not to empathize with Devika as she fearlessly challenged societal expectations, steadfastly pursuing her passion for painting.Throughout the story, the author skillfully weaves together the intricacies of Devika's desires, her family dynamics, and the intricate web of emotions experienced by all the characters. The depth and authenticity of these portrayals left a lasting impact, drawing me further into Devika's world and her pursuit of fulfillment. This is my first book by the author. I am looking forward to reading all of his works. The book is a page turner. Don't read it on weekdays because you'll leave your office work to read and find out what happens next. and as i mention before the book contains around 300 pages so basically this is a Long read book and but you can read whole of this book in just few days. happy reading

Unexpected ending
Like Devika we all are chasing our dreams and go throught so many ups and downs throughout our journey to fullfill them. Without proper understanding and support from family it is very hard to achieve our goals. Devika's passion for her painting couldn't stop her and she took charge of her life without any family support. It is a story about friendship, emotions, challenges, courage and hope. I really enjoyed it and was eager to finish it. While reading it I already assumed what will happen at the end, but was surprised the way it ended. Over all an interesting story and this is my favorite quote from the book, "You can tell a lot about a person's life by the type of tea one drinks."
