This noise machine not only provides the variety of sounds (white noises, nature sounds, a lullaby) one wants, it has a selection of non-garish colors that each have five levels of brightness. You can use it without a light too of course, and you can select just the right volume for sounds. You can use three small batteries or use the cord and plug/adapter. Since I run this all evening and night, the plug-in mode is best for me. Timers can be set for those who want that. The wood finish isn’t too faux but is attractive and lets the device blend in discreetly – it’s not one you need to hide since it’s actually attractive and has day-round uses like cool lights or sound effects. It came very professionally packaged for protection and giftability. I initially had a technical problem with my device, but this seller found a lighting-fast fix for me at no inconvenience to me. I’d be remiss not to mention this seller’s rare courtesy, absolute honesty, kind communications, and willingness to provide a remedy with no hassle. What could’ve been disappointment was turned into a very happy and impressed customer with a terrific product.

This is the most incredible little thing ever!! When I was searching for white noise machines this one had very good reviews but I was still skeptical if it would help me fall asleep. Yes indeed, from the very first night I've slept so much better. No more nightmares and I'm sleeping right through the night and getting a solid 7 hours of restful sleep. Amazing!!

Edit 2/1/23:The company reached out and offered another product that would better fit my needs. I’ll update with a review of that once I receive. Great customer service!The item itself is beautiful and the sounds are nice, but it does not fit the needs I had for purchasing. I purchased this to use as a fireplace sound for my electric logs. I was hoping I could use wirelessly in my fireplace, but it goes through the batteries too quickly to be used for this function. If you are good using this plugged in, I think it will not be a problem. I decided to just use my Alexa for the fireplace sounds and returned this item.

Wasn't a fan sleeper, but found that noise at night helped me sleep better. Combat PTSD made me a light sleeper, and made it harder to fall back asleep if at all after hearing a noise. The nature noise setting of spring peepers keeps me sleeping good all night.

I don’t like all the sounds. I only use a couple. But I use it at night and travel so it suits its purpose well!

I bought this for my husband as a gift. He has a hard time falling asleep and having the same sounds no matter where we are is a helpful constant. This machine is PERFECT for travel! Small and compact, takes batteries or can be plugged in. It's small size makes it easy to pack and it doesn't take up much space on those smaller nightstands. Well worth the cost.

I love this thing. We took it on an overnight trip and the ocean waves sound is much more realistic than other sound machines I've used. Also love the different color night light. :)
