Shipton Mill Light Rye 997 Flour Organic 1 kg (Pack of 6)

This is first class, organic rye flour which produces excellent bread. It flatters my bread-making expertise and I am confident of a good result every time. It is consistent in its take-up of water, so I can keep to an exact recipe every time I make the dough.

Great, makes excellent bread in my Panasonic bread maker. I normally a 1 part buckwheat to 4 parts RYE.

I really like this flour, I have used it by hand and in a bread machine. It produces lovely bread all time, its even better when mixed with other flours. Unfortunately the expiry was very short for a pack of 6 - purchased in August, expired in December. As someone who likes a mix of flours for her bread this unacceptable. In addition, I like variety so I was not impressed when I noticed the expiry date after I had opened my 1st pack.I am a single person so there is no way I can use 6 packs of flour within a 4 month period even I wanted to. All I can say is beware, ask for the expiry date from the seller before placing an order. I am still using the flour but will have to throw it away after a while as I don't want to take any risks. I have not used it to bake bread for anyone else, as I don't want a law suit on my hands.Like I said, lovely flour but the seller should be not 'look at expiry dates closely before sending it on. I won't be using them again!!!
