how do I get colourant on its own???

Not sure I understand your question? This causes hydrangea flowers to be blue. Ie its a chemical you feed to the plant, when watering, and the flowers come through blue. Its only used to change the colour of the flowers.

Can I use this once the flowers have turned pink

I think it depends on how far into their development the pink heads are. I added vitax this year when I could see the colour was going to be pink and eventually it has turned to a blue mauve but not the usual lovely blue that I get with vitax. I hope that the later heads still to come out may be a stronger blue.

My hydrangeas are already flowering and pink will these turn blue or just the buds?

Hi There, I used this last year and I can tell you all will turn blue in a little time. The only downside for me was some of the flowers in the latter stages of blooming was that they went a bluey grey colourand didn't look so good, but in all fairness, the product does stop them from being pink.
