Really good hydro meter
Very easy to use ...and tested it and it was same results as my refractometer. This hydrometer i just use it as a guide test.Always rinse it out after every test or you end up getting false results with salt build up on the plastic white arrow it get bits of gritty salt build up etc so always use then rinse.i dont leave mine in tank but you can if you want but i wouldn't recommend itGreat bit of kit from fluval ..

Doesn't seem to work
It either shows the lowest or the highest measure and is completely inaccurate. Useless...and worse still so inaccurate that it could seriously damage the contents of your aquarium.

Works well, you just have to do it right
Does the Job. For what it is - piece of plastic with more plastic in it it's pretty alright. The issue I've had with it (and what I suppose people have in general) is that in order for it to work it must be standing very level and you have to fill it all the way in until it overflows from both sides and drenches whatever is nearby in salt water. You may also find that the indicator inside sticks to the water surface so after you fill the entire thing in, it's worth nudging it down so it finds its position. If you don't do these two things you will either get a 0 or a max reading. So it works, you just have to be very patient with it.A separate thing is that it's not very stable and has a tendency to wobble. Tad dangerous depending on what you've got lying around. So for for a low budget it's okay, but if you have the money and don't want to faff around with pipeting in every last drop just get a better one.

Salt water check
To get a proper reading you need to put in theee time's . So a bit dangerous when you go with first

Very inaccurate
Readings are different everytime i use this, I can test it and get a reading and test again in 2 minutes and get a different reading so hard to keep on top of it, dont know if it's just my one or if a replacement would work better.

Good for fowlr tanks
Accurate, but if you are going to corals, get a refractometer.
