The Swan Princess [DVD] [1995]

All these stars are pretty much just for the first film, which is a childhood favourite of mine and still holds up pretty well for me (although I imagine it has its flaws, I don't care, I love it forever). The other two movies are entertaining, but definitely not as good as the first one, but I was expecting that. I owned all three movies on VHS as a child and it's great to have them all on DVD... even if the DVDs are double-sided with only tiny text to tell you which way to turn it to watch a certain movie. That could have been better done.I don't like the art on the cover of the case, or on the DVD menus. Luckily the art in the movies themselves is completely unchanged and still as good as I remember.There is a sing-a-long included, but it's just the parts of the movies where the songs were playing. Nothing really exciting.Would reccommend! Even if only for the first movie.

My girls had all these on video when they were very young. My girls now being 18,16 and 14 I decide to have a clear out of their videos( which included the swan princess trilogy) and gave them to my neice. My middle daughter was devestated that i'd given them away and said i would look for them on dvd for her but did say that i thought that she was a little old for them now! so i ordered this dvd and i now have 3 very happy daughters ages 18,16 and 14 and their younger brother who is just 4 absolutly loves it!! so I would definately advise anyone looking for a nice family film that will last through the years, to buy this. It's been in the family for years and i guess now my son likes it, will be for a few more years yet!

I first saw the original Swan Princess film when i was about six and i loved it and i saw the third one and loved that too. I wasn't sure whether to buy this at first because i had never seen the second one but i'm glad i did because they are all great. The songs are catchy and full of feeling, i especially like This Is My Idea, Far Longer Than Forever and I Want The Magic of Love. If you loved these films i suggest you buy this DVD set it's well worth your money!

I was having a nostalgic moment and was chatting bout my favourite childhood films with a friend when I remembered The Swan Princess. I quick-footed it onto Amazon and found this gem at a BARGAIN price! It arrived quite quickly and all 3 discs work well.The 1st Film is a classic and the songs took me right back to my childhood (I'm 23 so I know it wasn't too long ago but it's long enough). I'd recommend it to any young girl (or boy) to watch. The content may be a little scary in places for very young children but i watched it when I was about 4 and it didn't bother me (I'm sure children that young don't pick up on some scary things, or was that just me?!?!).The 2nd and 3rd films follow true sequel fashion and are not as good as the first film but the 2nd film does give it a good attempt with some catchy songs and a reasonable storyline. In my opinion, the 3rd film may as was have never been made but I viewed it as a 'freebie' anyway because I was willing to pay the price for the first 2 films!The only real criticism is that the 1st disc is double sided and I couldn't figure out which way round to put the disc in. This isn't a huge problem as it can easily be resolved by taking the disc out and putting in back in the other way round!

This was one of my favourite series as a child, I still know all the lyrics to every single song in all 3 movies. I loved the film so much that I wanted to get my youngest niece to watch it as I felt that she'd enjoy it so I bought her this dvd because I thought it was a bargain getting all 3 movies for £8. The dvd went down well. My niece has watched the movies a tonne of times and loves them as much as I do. Discs ran fine and packaging was perfect. In all, I am very pleased with my purchase.

I bought this set for my granddaughter - currently away on holiday, she has yet to see it. I have watched all three films and enjoyed them all. I felt the stories and the animation would enthrall most youngsters who wish to see all three tales unfold.If your family enjoy this kind of genre of animation films - then they would love these stories. There is plenty to enjoy from tension - sadness - thrills and lots of fun.Thank you

Well I had the first and third films on video when I was little. Our video machine now doesn't work anymore so I decided to get them on DVD. I'd never seen or even heard of the second one,and I wasn't sure I'd actually get to see it because I watched the movie on the first disc which was the first one, and the movie on the second disc, which was the third film. I spent ages looking for the second film in the special features and everything, before discovering that there actually was a reason for the top of the disc to look like a dvd as well. The discs are double sided. They actually do say side A and side B on them, but in really small writing, and I just didn't think to look. The actuall films are really good, and it was great to see them again after all these years.

Awww, I used to love the Swan Princess as a child and didn't even realise there were 3 films in the series! In my opinion these are better than any disney films for children. Great songs and lovely story lines.I bought this for my little cousin as a present and she loves the stories as much as I did!So cheap, this is DEFINITELY worth your money!

En perfectas condiciones, de mejor calidad fisica de lo wue pensé, me encanta esta película, hace mucho que buscaba el DVD, fue ganancia que trajera el doblaje en español! (Aunque requiere reproductor multiregion aqui en México)

Nothing more to say, one of my childhood favourites. is it protected by a bit of nostalgia? Maybe. but it's still amazing!!
