Frostfire Moonflare Cube - Solar Wall Light [Energy Class A+++]

I am a retired commercial electrician, so thought I would share some (hopefully) useful comments on this item.After installing many such lights over the past few years, for friends, I have found the performance dissapointing in general, most are badly made and have cheap almost useless LED's and dodgy PIR units. I then have to change them at a later date.These Lights however DO work. The sensor, although not adjustable, has a range of about 15 feet, and works correctly. The LED units provide a nice "warm" glow, and a decent amount of light.The instructions are good, and even include how to replace the battery unit when it is exhausted. The batteries are commonly available. As the construction of the unit is good - a decent quality stainless used - you might have it long enough to need to change the batteries!Now The Niggle...When fixing the light in place, the screwdriver access to the mounting screws is POOR - this has been very badly thought out. You can only get to the screw using the driver at about a 40 degree angle - very difficult to drive home.I would also recommend NOT using the screws provided. They do not drive properly with a PH2 bit or a PZ2 bit. Given the screw access problem, you just keep camming out, use a Spax and you will be fine...Overall, though, a GREAT light - does exactly what you want, I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Was sceptical about attaching a solar powered light to the house, as they've always been a bit poor when I've used them in the past. However this light has a gentle glow after dusk and a brighter light that comes on when the PIR sensor is triggered. Looks ok and does the job that I needed. Only reason for four and not five stars is that it does look a little bit 'plasticky' but then, for the money you're not going to get heavy-weight construction. Obviously cheap solar-cells have come on a long way since the last ones I had!Well worth the money.

Ok, but a bit under-powered for dark nights.Pros:- looks nice- motion sensor functions at a decent distance (at least 5m)- solar charged- auto on when light levels fall below a certain level- motion sensitive additional lightCons:- although the metal body seems robust, the plastic sections feel cheap- a little under-powered for dark nights. That could be rectified by getting more than one, but the next point would still be an issue- doesn't charge up sufficiently in the middle of winter when there are only a few hours of overcast daylight. Some nights the light has drained its charge before 8pm if the previous day has been particularly dull.- the brand marking could be a little more discreet.

I bought two of these and installed them on a wooden fence in the garden at the beginning of December (2019).The tops of the lights (where the solar collectors are) are above the fence and so have a good view of the sky - although have had very little direct sunlight since installed, since the winter sun has been shadowed by the clouds or the house for most of the time.However I have been impressed of the longevity of the light from both lamps which have stayed on for at least 6 hours each evening despite the gloom. Now we're getting into Feb (2020) I expect they'll only get brighter as the Sun returns.They look good, and the PIR detector seems very sensitive - picking up approaching people from around 10 ft away.So... nothing to fault them so far... 10 out of 10.

I only purchased this product a few months ago and can honestly say what a poor product it is. To start with it worked really well producing great light a night however it now produces no light at all and therefore is useless to me. I would not recommend this product.

After reading some of the reviews on this light we were unsure whether to buy it, but after looking around and browsing the internet we couldn't find anything similar around the same price. It arrived really quickly and was bigger than we expected. We've had it outside our front door for 4 months now and it's superb!! Everyone comments on it, neighbours have even asked where we've got it from. It doesn't come on at all during the day, but as soon as it starts to get dark the light comes on. Then when people are walking past or walking up to the door another brighter light comes on(sensor), which is great as we have a very dark front door and wouldn't be able to see the key hole without it. I've occasionally come home around 4/5am in the morning and the light is still on! I've recommended this light to all my friends and family. It's definitely worth getting

I have been impressed with FrostFire products in the past but this was very disappointing. It is well made, but the light from the LEDs is very feeble, and it does not have a PIR capability as some descriptions suggested. Hard to find a use for it.

I originally purchased this for my mum as it wasn't practical to get have a wired in light. I didn't expect much if I'm honest, however this light is brilliant! Easy to install, comes on with a dim light as dark approaches and once the sensor is activated you get a bright light which is adequate enough to find your way to the door. I've since bought a second one for my nan too and she's really happy with it as well.

Je suis très étonnée de la durée de luminosité : à la réception de l article essai immédiat car la lampe semble chargée et elle a tenu toute la nuit voir au-delà sans recharge. Le détecteur un peu lumineux est fonctionnel également. Belle lampe d ambiance et fonctionnelle. Il y en un sur les 5 qui est défectueux la lampe du détecteur reste allumée mais je le renvois gratuitement.

Questa lampada è ottima. Molto bella come design, funziona perfettamente. Ricaricandosi con la luce solare, la sera è accesa, fa una buona luce, e si accende un'ulteriore luce verso il basso quando la lampada percepisce il movimento, grazie al sensore. Utilissima, per chi come me abita in un luogo buio, e avvicinandosi a casa ha subito una bella luce per aprire la porta o altro.

Looks good and well constructed. They arent going to blind anyone but put off enough light to see that puddle your about to step into..only downside is the screws that come with it are cheap but well all have screws laying around right? One thing to note the pair i recieved have frostfire printed in the front where as the one shown does not

Absolut zu empfehlen.Vorn steht zwar der Schriftzug Frostfire drauf was hier auf dem Bild nicht zu sehen ist aber das tut der Optik keinen Abbruch.Tolle Verarbeitung. Leicht anzubringen dank der mitgelieferten Schrauben.Wir hatten die Lampen einige Tage nur auf dem Esstisch liegen und selbst da sind die abends angegangen. :)Sie leuchten 1 A. Klasse Leuchthelle und der Sensor funktioniert einwandfrei.

3ieme comandée! Très satisfaite du produit même si c’est un peu galère à fixer avec un tournevis classique (le tournevis frotte contre la lampe). Mais très esthétique et pratique! Fait son effet auprès de nos invités à la nuit tombée.
