Great reference for new or experienced attorneys
This book is one of the most engaging legal books I have. It is written in short best practices and pro tips so you can quickly look up a topic and get your thoughts flowing when you are reviewing or writing contracts. The brevity is especially helpful when you need to look up something quickly during a meeting to provide advice on the spot. Illustrations help me remember the key point in each topic. This is one of my few legal books that's out at all times. I recommend it to the law students and new lawyers that I mentor as a great way to get a leg up in their contract skills.

Excellent reference book for commercial contracts
Laura made her book twice the size and twice as nice as the last edition. A must have book for those starting out in the contract world. Good guidance on key legal issues and negotiation positions. Practical contracting knowledge you don’t necessarily get in law school.I deal with government contracts as well so I keep Laura’s and Chris’s books on the shelf. All very good books on navigating contracts.

Fantastic
Laura Fredrick has done it again. This expanded second edition Practical Tips on How To Contract is loaded with easy-to-understand contract drafting and negotiating tips. No overly complicated legal jargon that is difficult to understand. The best part is that this book has illustrations. Yes, to the hilarious cartoon graphics. I highly recommend this book to lawyers and other contract professionals.-Flo

Useful even for those in civil law jurisdictions
The book’s target audience is obviously those in the US.Nonetheless, people who live in civil law jurisdictions and tend to shy away from dealing with contracts can learn a lot from this book, as it is filled with practical tips on how to approach contract reviewing.
