Finicky kitty actually eats this grain-free food!
OMG - I finally found a grain free food that my cat will eat. I have tried EVERYTHING. Merrick, Instinct, Wellness, you name it. It is unfortunate that this food has vegetables in it because cats are obligate carnivores and are not supposed to eat veggies. The only time I want to give my cat veggies is when I give her pumpkin or squash if she has indigestion. It helps the food pass through and kitties seem to LOVE pumpkin. But whatever, in the end I don't care if this is marketed as some kind of salad for cats (I mean look at the picture on the front of the package!) as long as it is grain free and gives my cat enough protein and actually gets into her tummy instead of being left disdainfully in her bowl. My cat seems to believe that she can subsist on air and the occasional moth snack. Previously the only thing I could get her to eat regularly was her Merrick Before Grain dry food but if you want your cat to live a long healthy life with very few visits to the vet than it's best to make sure that you get it to eat as much wet food as you can. This is where Platefuls comes in. So far I've tried both flavors that include shrimp, since my cat seems to be obsessed with shrimp treats. I'm going to experiment with the other flavors as well so that I can buy whatever flavor is currently on sale.I'm going to look further into the ingredients to make sure there truly is enough crude protein in here and not too much veggie filler but so far I am a really pleased cat parent!Update: here are the ingredients. This stuff is pretty high in protein but it's also extremely high in moisture and low in calories (70 calories a package). This means my 9 lb cat would need 2.5 of these a day to maintain her weight if I fed her nothing else. A miracle food for my 16-year-old cat!!!!
This is my cat's favorite flavor!! He is 16 and was nearly on his death bed from chronic constipation and what they call Mega Colon. This food and other flavors saved my cat's life! His coat is now shiny and fluffy, when it was getting matted and dull from my cat not feeling well. I don't feed my cat dry food, and I've added 1/4 tablespoon of Miralax powder twice a day and I'm seeing miracles with this cat! My vet advised the Miralax! Prescriptions weren't even working! Love this food so much, I switched my Golden Retriever to Natural Balance brand food too! Try it, you won't be sorry! I'm not receiving any benefit to posting my review. I just hope it helps someone else who is having the same problems with their cat! ♥️🐈

(+) Healthy weight management for kitties. (-) One pouch is not enough for one meal.
Our two, three year old under weight kitties have been eating these for about a year now. Both have put on and maintained a healthy weight with this food. With Fancy Feast they would eat half and maybe come back to it later, now they just eat up their Natural Balance like it's the best thing ever.We try to order enough for a whole months worth. The feeding directions states two pouches per 5lbs of body weight per day. Our cats were small and under weight when we got them, they are between 10-15lbs each right now. That means each one needs to eat 4 pouches a day or ~120 total a month. That adds up to 240 pouches or 10 boxes a month/5 boxes per cat.The pouches go for about $.99 USD each at our local PetSmart. On Amazon they normally go for about $.75, and I've even got them as low as $.49 a few times. As of this review all flavors have increased in price to be more aligned with PetSmart which is very disappointing. It may be a stock thing so hopefully the price goes back down in time for our next order. The only negative for this item is the small 3oz pouch size. Most cats are larger than 10lbs which means an average cat needs 4+ of these pouches per day. We would love to see a 6oz size so we could do one pouch in the morning and one pouch at night per cat.

Happy cat Mom
I had one cat who was not a big water drinker and because of this he would get constipated! He would give little yelps/meows when he was 'trying' to potty. The vet said he was healthy but to try to find ways to get him to take in more liquid. After a lot of reading on how to help him 'go' I read an article about pumpkin, etc being helpful. Well I was a bit nervous as my cats are mainly dry food eaters from the adult cats to the kittens (6 in total) and I didn't want anyone to end up with wet food that would upset their systems and cause a mess.I found this food and saw really good reviews on it from here and from online and decided to try it...They loved it!!! All of them loved it!! Each night they get this, they love the taste and not one has had an upset stomach. He LOVES it, even if for nothing more than the liquid, the wet food he sees as a treat. I add a tablesppon of extra pumpkin to his and some extra water he laps it ALL up and has had no more problems since he started on this!!!!
