When I saw my friend repairing his bonnet on the shore, I gave up the traditional hammer installation. It is very convenient to use. To sum up what I think is great:1. Punch, although he can only punch 4mm holes, but fully enough, no longer as before with a special punch tool, with a hammer punch. The adjusting bolts need to be tightened to facilitate drilling.2. its so very handy to have and much more mobile then the one i have and used for a long time it the so call D shape and not so easy to use like working on boats canvas , i recommend this tool for anyone that like to have it much more easier!!!

My girlfriend had riding boots that one of the snaps had detached from. This was a quick and easy repair with this tool. Take the old lieces off and press the new one in with a little pressure. Easy peasy

Works great for line 24 snaps. Just line up the snaps with the anvil and squeeze the handle. Go real slow and put more pressure with each squeeze and they go right in. It may take 4 squeezes to get it to set, but it beats the heck out of using the little metal setter tool and hitting it with the hammer.

After some trial an error I found it easy to use and I quickly fixed all of my broken snaps. Now only time will tell how long they will last given the amount of times they are undone and refastened. I would recommend that you apply a small amount of dielectric grease to each snap that will help to prevent them from seizing together over time. What about including a small tube in each kit?

Ok. This took me a bit to figure out but it works great. Way better than the cheap kits that you have to use a hammer on a bench.

The unit is sturdy and works well however the snaps you get with it are not the best quality.

This product was well made but as I said above. You must have considerable hand strength to get the snaps installed.
