I love that there are so many different sizes so they will fit any size pan or skillet. I do wish they had more of a knob on top of them to make it easier to lift off while you are cooking. I have not used them yet so not sure how well they will hold the heat and steam within the pans but I hope they will.

I have had a green set of silicone covers for 6 years, which are in use so much I needed more. However, I didn't want to add a rainbow set, so I ordered this gray set...a sort of yukky greenish gray color that actually grew on me after a week or two. I use silicone covers to cover drinks (to help maintain temperature and outdoors to keep insects away), pots on stove, dishes in refrigerator, heating in microwave, etc. They can be made to form a tight suction seal; however nothing stable like Tupperware. In the refrigerator the cover lays on top but does not maintain suction and can easily be accidentally bumped off on a crowded shelf. When I need something for storage longer than a few hours or a day I use a container with a top that snaps down securely. And, I certainly don't try to have a tight seal when I warm in the microwave or on the stove or an explosion might occur, as reported in some reviews!!! I just lay the cover on top.I had a large roll of plastic wrap when I got my first silicone covers. I still occasionally (only a few times a year!) have a need for plastic wrap; however, so little that I am still using that same roll of plastic wrap I had 6 years ago. For me, silicone covers have been a great purchase!

These silicone lids do have a good grip on pans and bowls. One can easily lift a lid from the side to see how food is progressing. When lifting on the top they grip with great suction. Clean in the dishwasher and I can store them in my warming drawer that is rarely used. Works great!

These are thicker than cheaper ones I've bought and are quite nice.

I am really enjoying these silicone lids. They fit easily in the drawer of my stove and has ended the hassle of fighting to get traditional lids in the right position in order to get the drawer closed! I leave my stirring or serving spoon right on top of the cover while cooking, which prevents them from laying on the counter and leaving a mess behind. They are also much easier to clean than traditional lids, especially for the dried on mess when the dishes don't get done until the next day :-) I wish the lid handle was a little more substantial and it would be great if they came in a few different colors - minor complaints compared to the benefits!

These come in handy for covering pots that don't adhere to a standard form. I've a few cast iron pans that fit the bill and these work well for them.The suction on them is kinda dependent on the shape of the bowl (and temperature, I think) but I didn't buy them for suction, just to protect food from the elements for a while.I trust them in the fridge and they even kinda stack well (though, I fear of potential accidents with added weight).I just wish they would've come with a tie or something to keep them together... I must have some rope around here somewhere.

So I've had these kinds of lids before but since they are the most used item in the kitchen I needed to replace them. I got these because of the stellar reviews and they are thick and sturdy which is why I gave it four stars. I am a little disappointed because the pics are misleading. I thought I was purchasing dark grey/charcoal colored ones, and nope they are most definitely a really dark green. I attached pics. But they are great so I'm keeping them. Definitely recommend. Just be aware of the color...

I Love these lids. I bought them because I didn't have a lid for my 12 1/2" large skillet. I constantly use this skillet to be able to cook for a family, but the set did not come with a lid for the largest pan. I tried a pizza pan, using the 12" lid and letting it steam around the edges. Then I found this set and it works perfectly. In fact, it works so well I now use these in place of the lids that came with my set. They are light weight, have a great suction, and clean like a dream.
