The Case of the Cat's Meow

I am so excited to share my childhood favorite book series with my grandchildren!

I read this as a child, and our child read my tattered childhood copy and fell in love. We need people to write more books like this. Simple and what kids do.

A good book. I remember when my dad bought it for me as a kid and I was able to buy it for my children recently. It appears that the book was changed a bit over the years from what I remember of it as a kid. Nonetheless, it was a good book to read to my children.

One of my favorite childhood books! So glad I was able to find it after all these years!! Such a sweet story!

Crosby Bonsall has a great formula for writing children's "who done-it" type stories. Easy for younger children to read but entertaining enough for adults to enjoy as well.

I occasionally look for books that my grandchildren would enjoy reading and it is always good to find a book that brings back memories of years gone by.

Just an all around good book.Plenty of fun charachters and a theme kids will appreciate.

Wizard, Tubby, Skinny, and Snitch are back with a new case. This time Snitch is concerned that someone is going to steal his beloved cat, Mildred. The other boys scoff at the idea of anyone wanting her. "She's dumb," says Tubby. "She's no fun," adds Skinny. "She makes too much noise," chimes in Wizard. Yet when Mildred does indeed turn up missing, the boys have another case on their hands! Like the others in the series, this book is loaded with humor and contains the usual surprise ending.Other books in the series include "The Case of the Hungry Stranger" and "The Case of the Dumb Bells".

Witzige, kindgerecht und aus Kinderperspektive erzählte Geschichte mit charmanten Bildern. Pfiffig gemacht, nimmt die kindlichen Charaktere mit ihren Schwächen und Sorgen ernst. Man sollte allerdings keine abendfüllende Geschichte erwarten, hat die ideale Länge einer Gute-Nacht-Geschichte für Kinder ab ca. 4 Jahre.

Snitchが大切にしている猫が突然姿を消してしまった！そこでSnitchiとお兄さんとその友達２人で猫の行方を捜します。Snitchiの兄のWizard達は、家の前の庭に「The WIZARD PRIVATE EYE」という秘密基地を作っていてそこを拠点に、色々と策を練って猫を捜すのですが…少年達の日常をのぞいているような気持ちで途中、何度か吹き出してしまう面白いシーンもあって全編とても楽しく読みました。絵本のような感じで、文字が大きく読みやすいです。やさしい英語で書かれていますので、安心して読めますよ。最後は、とてもほんわかした感じで、よかったね～と言ってあげたくなります。猫が大好きな方にも、おすすめした１冊です。
