Nice Idea
This cute little phone is the perfect size for the 7-month-old little one. The face of the device is made of wood, while the rest is made of plastic. The large button at the bottom acts as an on/off switch. While on, the lights stay lit as long as baby is playing with it. It shuts itself off after two minutes of inactivity (not three, as per instructions). There is no volume control on this. That said, the volume is decent and not overly loud and annoying.I love that it has the ability to record messages as often as I want. There is a mode switch on the back that allows either 1) full function of all buttons plus the remote or 2) just the phone only without the use of the parent remote. This allows for battery conservation.Batteries are included and already installed. Just pull the tabs to activate. To access the battery compartment, you’ll need a small Phillips screwdriver.Overall, this phone is a nice idea, but somewhat expensive for what it is.

Baby Likes It
Not sure whether the baby likes getting calls on this thing or just gently gnawing on it. Either way, she's pretty pleased. The phone looks super cute with all the little icons. And the buttons are super enticing. The record features and such are easy to figure out, but honestly, my little one just likes pretending to talk on the phone with or without the sounds.

Works perfectly, records voice clearly, batteries are included!
This little Playskool recording phone is adorable and the decorated buttons are very easy for a small child to push. The on/off button and individual buttons light up so they are easy to see also. The volume is set at one level with no adjustment but it's very good. They included easy to read instructions that covered recording a voice, using the remote, setting the switch to the mode you want, and replacing the batteries. Batteries were included in both the phone part and the remote part. I recorded a short message for baby from Grandma and granddaddy and she will hear the message either by pushing the side button on the phone or by pushing the remote button. All edges are smooth and round and the main parts of the body and remote are wood, so the toy is sturdy. Love it, great quality, batteries included, and works perfectly. Easy 5 stars!

Fun noise-maker toy
Bright buttons that make noises type toys are pretty common, but this one is definitely on the high end side. You have quite the variety of noises produced by this unit. The lights and variety definitely keep my child entertained. The partial wood construction is a nice touch just in terms of making you feel the value -- it's a pretty solid toy.The star attraction would of course be the voice recorder function and it is pretty neat. My child is on the younger side so it's mainly a "here's the voice of someone that isn't in the room" kinda function, but I imagine you could have some proper fun with it with more developed language skills.

Elevated toy phone
These types of toys are a huge hit with both my 3 year old and one year old, and this one is no exception. As a bonus for me personally, it is sooo cute and doesn't look crummy sitting around the house.

Update below; ADORABLE!
Update:Our 6-month old loves this toy and smiles every time she hears the voices. Unfortunately they should have made the on/off button smaller because she constantly hits it and it powers off, making it so I need to constantly hit the button again so she can continue playing.Electronic wooden toys are not plentiful so that was the first thing that caught my attention with this toy. The other thing I like is the ability to record your own message. Babies love playing with phones so I knew my little girl would like it. The buttons and build of the overall toy is good quality, and it feels good in the hand. I also love that it comes with a remote. Too cute!

Cute phone, a little pricey
My grandson seems to really enjoy this cute little phone. It's an easy toy to grab and give him to play with to distract him with diaper changes. Grandpa recorded his voice on it so when the certain button is pressed you hear him. It doesn't always work great with the remote, that's why I only gave it 4 stars. But, besides the remote issues it is a great little wooden phone. I know he will enjoy it as he gets older and wants to copy mommy and daddy on the phone.
