While camo-patterned clothing can help make a hunter less noticeable, it takes a ghille suit to make them nearly invisible. By covering up any semblance of a human it ensures that one will blend into an environment, provided the materials used are a reasonable match to what's there.This is a full suit, complete with jacket, pants, hood and a wrap for a rifle. It comes in a lightweight stuff stack, and each piece is packed inside-out which probably helps prevent the yarn filaments of each piece of clothing from entangling one another.The jacket has what looks like good-quality brass snaps. It's a good idea since zippers are guaranteed to snag the suit's yarns. The end of the sleeves are elastic, keeping the sleeves from slipping past the wrists. Camo-patterned gloves would make a good accessory to hide the hands.The hood fits snugly over the head and comes complete with mosquito netting over the face, which makes it impossible to wear glasses. Cutting away that panel solves the problem. The entire panel doesn't have to be cut away, just enough to let the temples of the glasses slip over the ears. But even if that panel is totally removed, there's enough "wool" to hide the eyes. Also, cutting away the panel allows one to eat or drink something without taking off the hood.Another advantage of the hood and the suit: It's mosquito-proof.The basic garment is made of mosquito netting with a woodland-like camo pattern. A variety of different colored yarns are stitched onto the netting. As seen in the photo, you end up looking like a greenish wookie. I don't know how fire resistant the material is. Since it looks a lot like tinder, it's strongly recommended that you stay away from any open flames. It's safe to assume that no one would smoke while wearing a suit like this: that kind of aroma would spook game for miles.Right out of the box the suit sheds yarn. I left a trail of them in the house when I "hid" from my 3-year-old grandson by crouching next to some furniture in the room. He didn't realize there was a person in that pile of "grass". The overall fit was very good. I'm 5'8" and 155 pounds, and M/L is a perfect fit. As mentioned, the hood was a bit snug due to the neck opening being slightly smaller than the hood itself, and I don't think my head is especially large. A drawstring for the neck would be a good idea, something that would allow a custom adjustment.The thick body of yarn fragments also happen to provide some insulation, a welcome feature if it's a chilly evening. If you're in a tropical environment you might not want to do a lot of walking while wearing this suit. Also, the yarns tend to snag on every twig and branch along the way (and anything with Velcro). The upside is that if you're missing and someone has to find you, it makes that an easy tracking job.A suit like this is mostly intended for concealment once you're in place, so the ability to cover long distances while suited up might not be a problem after all. I don't know if it will continue to shed yarn at the rate it was in my first test. Hopefully those are just the ones that didn't get perfectly locked down by the stitching.To get the suit to better match local conditions, it's probably easy enough to twirl in pieces of available foliage to add to the suit's overall concealment capabilities. Even without that, it's much better than relying entirely on a camoflaged clothing pattern.Because the entire suit is built of lightweight and porous materials, it provides absolutely no protection from rain. A rainsuit would be needed underneath if that kind of weather is expected. I'd imagine if it rained enough it would probably feel like wearing a mop, unless the suit's been treated with a good water repellant. It's made of nylon and polyethylene so it is less likely to absorb too much water, and will probably dry out enough if you're determined to stay where you are come rain or shine.I've only tested this once in the forest since getting it a couple of days ago. I picked a spot where some birds would congregate by a hog feeder. They're usually skittish and will bolt as soon as anything is amiss.I was able to observe them for several minutes without spooking them, just 30 feet away. Apparently for this suit, when it comes to effective concealment, this is the next best thing to becoming invisible.

I bought this for halloween in 2023 and this is pretty good and everything but the one thing that makes this a 4 star is that it rips off easily the string and makes a mess when it rips off

I purchased this for my 11 year old son to wear as a Halloween Costume this year as well as year round use for air soft play and accompanying his Uncle during hunting. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase! My son normally wears an adult medium in shirts and children's large/XL in pants, this suit allowed for a perfect fit with both top and bottoms thanks to the elastic. The camo stringy material was very thick allowing for perfect coverage from top to bottom, I do recommend "fluffing" out the suit upon arrival to really spread out the material. This suit also comes with a face cover that has netting to allow for easy sight and breathing. Also included is a gun cover that can be used to help camouflage your gun as well! The suit comes packed in a over the shoulder camo bag that is great for carrying things when not being used to store the suit in. Overall I think this is a great quality Ghillie Suit at an awesome price. I know I struggled a bit with sizing before finding this suit, if you have any questions please feel free to comment below and I will do my best to answer them for you. I received my ghilly 2days after I ordered it. I can see where the storage bag in going to be handy. The suit itself is what the add says. It's stored inside out and neatly rolled up with 2 straps holding it. The suit was very comfortable and easy to get on. The snaps look to be made well and work easily. Pants are easy to get on and have 3 snaps to go over your boots. You also have a pull cord to snug it up and have to slits for getting into your pants pockets. I am a 67 year old woman who still like to bow hunt so I thought I might try something new. I rated this as a 5 star and would recommend it to all my friends.

Got this ghillie suit to help take clandestine pictures of my friend's proposal. It worked.The suit was actually a lot nicer than I expected it to be. It's mostly made of string, so the texture is fairly natural looking (I had expected it to be a bit more plastic-y from the pictures). It was also a lot easier to see out of and move around in than I'd thought, as well as being light enough to let a breeze through.With it I was able to sit off to the side of a hiking trail and take creeper photos of my bro as he worked up to his proposal and she said yes (though both with swigs of liquid courage first) all from about 10 feet away. Later on he told me that he'd felt worried b/c he wasn't sure if I was actually there, even though he knew exactly where I was supposed to be sitting, so yeah I'd say this suit worked pretty well.

This is a good suit I’m 5’11 180lbs and bought the xl. It fits well with loads of room for extra clothing or for someone bigger then I amThe suit seems well put togetherThe only things I’m not a fan of is 1 the mesh on the face part is a bit hard to see throughAnd 2. It seems like they could have used more strands around the shoulder and back areasI’m looking forward to using this suit and will update my review on durably once I’ve had a chance to put it to the rest.

Perfect fit at 5'5". Nice to have rifle cover. Good for dark bush hiding, forest, less so for open green field of course. See photos. Our friends couldn't even spot my son hiding in the bush until he jumped out. Fun to have and we'll take it for paintball. It does grab tree branches and leaves, but that just adds to the camouflage, we didn't even remove it. A few strings have fallen off, but not a big deal. It requires some fluffing to spread string, but also not a big deal. Great purchase!

It is generally good, like the shipping time, looks and size. But The quality is not very good. At least for this price. The pieces fall off easily. My boy wore it for 15 mins, and I had to clean the off-pieces on the floor after that - I can say 10 plastic strings.
